    Who Do I Believe?

My default is from the powder manufacturer. Id start with 5.0g and work up. A chrono is a handy tool to have.

    Lead bullet RN vs. SWC

As long as you dont dump too much powder into a 38 caee its hard to get into trouble. The bullets I used to buy from my local caster had no crimp grove so it was left to up to you where to crimp. No nanny-groves and no bullet jumps. Now I cast my own and the groves seem odd.

You gotto figure just about everybody store gas cans in their garage for mowers, etc. Not to mention gas tanks in vehicles.

    Model 14-2 Accuracy

It will outshoot those run of mill 1911's and probably all of the plastic autos. Still considered the revolver for bullseye shooters.

Trail Boss w/ Speer HBWC in 38special

TB was ment for Cowboy shooters, hence the cowboys on the 9oz bottle, yes the cost is about double for whch bullseye would be the ideal powder. Ive shot competitively in both.

Why I don't use Titegroup in the 500

Hate it when people revive dead threads. Awesome.

Why I don't use Titegroup in the 500

Detonation my ***. A simple double charge im sure. A reloader with maybe a little too much experience, getting up there in years and not willing to admit a bit less sharp than when they were when they were younger and making an error when charging a case. No need for long theories on a non...

Do you crimp 45 LC rounds?

A matter of physics, there is very little difference between a standard 44 magnum and a hot loaded 45 colt to yank the case off the bullet. What the guy in the gun shop pribably had in mind was 45c loaded to std pressure which generates much less energy and would be unlikely to pull the cases...

    Case bulge 44 mag

If the bullet is the correct diameter then the case must be a tight fit. See it all the time.

    Dirty little rounds.

231 can be rather dirty especially if loaded light, the powder burns up better at higher pressure so if you're loading light you might want to increase the charge but dont charge past max. Some powders are dirtier than others.

    Is the .327 DOA or...

It was a round that filled a gap that not many cared about.

    Almost Kaboomed My 686!

The extra carbon from the hot loads probably found its way into those low spots and stood out more after what looks like a much needed cleaning. Look at those cylinder notches.lol. that gun has seen a few rounds.

    Blending various powder batches?

To me it woild he like bleding old gas and new gas together, if the old stuff is bad why would I want to contaminate the new. I just use up each container one by one.

    38 sp in a 357 GEOMETRY

Looked at everything except for thr title. Nice to see it drawn to scale, The throat is longer than I woildve thougt really ought to align the bullet well. Interesting to see the difference in bullet jump too.

    38 sp in a 357 GEOMETRY

Isnt your bullet protruding past the front of the cyl.? Or am I reading your drawing wrong.

Montana gold or Precision Delta for defense loads

Shot placement is where its at. A little .100 difference in diameter aint going to mean much if its in the wrong place and with the added stress of a confrontation of that magnitude youll be relying on pretty much luck as far as that goes.

Do your 9mm cast lead bullets tumble?

You shouldve bought non-tumble lube design if want them to not tumble. Lol. Mine do handstands and back flips too.

    Titegroup .223 load...

55g at subsonic speeds aint far from 22lr power. You could probably dump most any pistol powder in with similar results. Probably better to use trail boss like the "snipers" use.
