    No It's not the model #. It's on the part that flops down with the cylinder. They're bigger & like etched-in or something. Unlike the model & serial #'s.

    What does the three digit # mean? It's on the part in front of the cylinder - the part that flops out when you open it. Thanks.

    Clutch I'm in search of something (cheap) w/a clutch, too. My oldest is gonna start learning to drive soon & I don't think he's ever even SEEN a clutch! ('cept in the Kubota)

    In the same caliber, same model, S&W revolver, same condition; is the older no-lock version always going to be higher ($$) than the newish versions w/locks? Is there a rule of thumb as to how much more (%)? Thanks.
