    I had the same machining marks on my slide. I very carefully ground them off and the slide works much better. before after I was told that they are there to slow the slide but I find this hard to believe since there are better ways to accomplish this.

    I had the same issue with some Prvi PPU ammunition, very light strikes which barely dented the primer. I tried some UMC ammo and it was better but I got some odd "gouged" firing pin strikes.     I also, unfortunately, purchased a couple of boxes of Prvi PPU ammunition and it has the hardest primers I have ever seen. I had the same issue with multiple hammer strikes to get some of the rounds to go off and some were so weak the slide didn't cycle. Tried some UMC ammo and they worked...
