    I would replace every spring, just for peace of mind. Or soak the gun in penatrating oil, you might just have dried grease in the spring seats.

    The pic with the plate removed is hard to see. Also can you get a pic of the loading side of the cylinder? Can you rock the cylinder left / right?

    I would buy it, also look into boiling the parts to convert the rust. Boiling is the best way to preserve the original finish

    They are a great choice and shooting 38 is like shooting 22. Very easy to shoot hundreds of rounds. The 8” are not as valuable as the 4 or 6”

    It looks like on the side plate and cylinder there are a few specs of rust. I would boil those two parts to convert the rust.

    If the serial number starts with S176XXX that series stared in 1957. If those are matching grips, that will add value. I believe those grips are “Cokes” which are sought after and are worth a good amount by themselves.
