there is a 4 inch listed on gunbroker as a Smith & Wesson 017

i would recomend the 4 due to the extra muzzle weight of the 6.

i have a 4 inch 617-1 that i want to replace the front sight with a SDM gold bead. i measured mine and it looks to be between 1/4 and 5/16 of an inch which would be around .300. would that be the correct one?

model 60 w/3 inch barrel in 357 that way you can shoot 38 as well.

you can buy rear sight blades, kits, and assemblys for both of those models at places like brownells , midway, etc.

i prefer the 4 inch barrel i presently have to the 6 inch barrel i previously had.

i had a 17-6 6 inch and sold it because it was muzzle heavy. just bought a 617 with a 4 inch barrel and find it very well balanced. bdGreen what model is that?

it is a 617-1 with the hogue grips. no papers and not the correct box. only wear i can see is a turn line otherwise it looks very good! i will post pics later.

thanks for all the replies! i don't know if it comes with a box. i believe it is a -1 due to the synthetic grips.
