    What a #*$% mess!

Forgot to insert the metering insert into the rotor once (actually twice, first and last time). Couldn't understand how I was able to spill the powder when pouring it into the reservoir. Took a while before I understood what happened. Cleaning up was not fun!

Hmmm... This short supply thing is not a good sign. We even have problems here in Norway getting our hands on American made bullets.

    s&w 686 2.5" ringed barrel!

Ringed barrel My 686 2,5 inch have a similar ring in the barrel, and I never had a stuck bullet (in that gun). My 640 also have a similar ring. Seems like this, as other have commented, is due to the torquing the barrel.

    Model 29 Cylinder

M29 cylinder Back in the mid-eighties I had the recessed cylinder on my M29-2 replaced with a non-recessed. I also changed the barrel from 6 inch to 4 inch, taking care of the barrel-cylinder gap. The conversion worked nicely.

Loose Barrel Bushing on S&W 645

Bushing on 645 The same happened to my 645 a short time after I bought it brand new. A slight movement developed in the bushing. It didn’t seem to affect the precision of the gun. I later sold the gun, and I miss it.
