THanks everyone for the clarification. She was probably intimidated by the rules and that's why she blamed it on that.

    California???

Can someone explain to me the laws in California? Are you not allowed to own a handgun period or what? I recently acquired a very nice .44 mag that belonged to a N.Carolina officer who was killed. This gun was going to be is retirement gift. After he died, they gave it to his daughter and...

    My Babies...how about yours?

I must preface this post with I am still a rookie to this forum but wanted to share a few pieces from collection with my new found friends. I know its probably been done before but thats okay. I agree the free market is beautiful, but when one idiot thinks his colt python is worth 3500, Then everyone else thinks theirs is worth that much. Then it's hard to find a gun that's at fair market value. That's what chaps my rear. It's price gouging IMHO

    Used guns

Very valid points everyone. It does bug me when people offer you way less than what a gun could go for. In a sense they are saying your an idiot and don't know any better. That could upset me just as much as someone overcharging. I guess my beef if for the people who live in denial. For example...

    Used guns

This may be a redundant topic but since I'm new here I'm going to bring it up. It's my "rant" topic of choice. I understand that parting with a gun of any sort can be a traumatic time for most of us. It hurts me to my soul sometimes. But, I hate that when I look at gunbroker or armslist and see...

    Glock v Sigma v SD9/40///qith a 'twist'?

The one difference I notice between my Sigma 9mm and my Glock is when I'm shooting. My first shot goes out normally but for my second shot I only release the trigger until I feel a click. Mastering this trick will help shave seconds off your "unloading". I noticed that click to be very faint in...

    N. Carolina commemorative s&w

I've read and I'm not sure if it's true , but 44 mag is rare in this edition. Most were .357. Again there is so little out there on the topic.

    N. Carolina commemorative s&w

Ok, I need a little guidance from the experts here. Is there any where I can find information on a model 29-2 in .44 magnum. It is a commemorative piece from N. Carolina state highway patrol in a presentation case. It has never been fired and I can not find any information on it. Help!

    Advice with a 19-4

I'm very tempted to shoot it! I will either sell it and buy a shooter or I may just break down one of these days and shoot it. Either way I was thrilled to only pay 500 for it.
