    Mosquito is a valid seller

After posting in the WTB for some hard to find HKS speed loaders the seller Mosquito contacted me. He gladly sent pictures of the items he had for sale and we agreed on a price. I sent payment and then had the item in a few days shipped USPS. Solid A++ seller on the Forum.

Model 52 that my heart desires!

Only Model 52's have an internal screw that could be adjusted to make the gun either SA or DA. It's part number 6215 in this schematic. Part #6227 is the bushing wrench you are missing.

    Model 39 prototype magazine??

Bork, It may be for some type of prop gun but it's not for the MGC M44 we have. The follower, the baseplate and mag body are all different . Here's a picture of the MGC M44 mag disassembled.

    Likelihood of upgraded 9mm FPC?

I have not heard of any changes to the FPC and they just released the FPC in the .22 caliber. All reviews I have seen on them have been good. Can't say if there will be any upgrades to them as it seems like S&W is releasing a new gun every week.

    Model 39 prototype magazine??

The magazine doesn't look like any pre or M39 mag I have ever seen and it's not for a M52. The baseplate and sides are completely different when compared to those that are shown in post #4 and look at the differences in the way the baseplates attach. The only thing on the mag that even looks...

    1854 dressed up

Bought this 1854 with the wooden stock in 45-70 and it shoots pretty good with just the iron sights but now I added a vortex scope, black nylon sling and muzzle break. Need a range day to check it out and will report back when it's done.

    Mod-39 front sight inserts

Of the three guns I have with the RR front sight two are class 'A' factory engraved and the third one is a steel frame that was sent back to the factory for a nickel finish so perhaps they were all special guns.

    Another model 39

Depends on if you are buying or selling and your definition of good. There are many variables that can change the value such as original box, steel frame, 4 digit S/N, condition, etc. An average range is $500-800 but a nice 4 digit s/n in the original box can hit $1000 or more. The same steel...

    Another model 39

Looks like a great gun and I'm really curious about the green insert on the front sight. All the factory ones I have seen have a red insert. I'm speculating it's an after market addition and hoping someone here knows more about it.

Current 3rd Gens in the stable

It was probably 1979 not 1975 as The CSP M39-2 were issued in 1979 for the 75th Anniversary of the Connecticut state police. There are 701 with each having a unique number from 001 to 701 stamped on the left side of the frame as seen in post #6 above which is CSP 146. They are the only...
