    Shot my Shield 45 today

I do agree with y'all. I just got the Shield 45 a couple of weeks ago. I finally got a chance to shoot it on Tuesday. Really impressed by that firearm. The grip does the job in my hand. Heavy slide spring, but it is moving a 45 round!! Easy to hold with either mag although I do prefer the...

    M&P Shield 45 question

Well I just purchased the handgun and tried my Desantis 9 mm holster and it does not fit. The slide is bigger than the slide of the 9mm. It appears that they will work if it's an all leather holster, but it might loosen up to much to go back to the 9 mm after carrying the 45. Does anyone have...

    M&P Shield 45 question

I'm considering getting a new Shield 45, I have the 9mm now and will keep it. I understand that the 45 will be heavier especially if loaded, but would like to have it in the 45 as a CCW also. Will the 45 fit the same holsters that I have for the 9mm, as I have several different holsters???

    45 shield range report

I've had the shield 9mm for several years, and carry it 75% of the time off duty. I think y'all have just talked me into getting the 45 model!! Merry Christmas to me!!

    M&P Bodygaurd vs LCP

I bought the BG 380 after deciding that my Shield 9mm was to heavy and not comfortable at all to pocket carry. I thought the Shield would do the double duty, but it just wasn't comfortable at all and the pockets of the jeans were small for the weapon and my hand trying to grasp it. The BG 380...

Is the M&P Shield a pocket gun?

I tried to carry my 9mm Shield in both front and cargo pockets. It was not comfortable for all day long. If wearing jeans, the pockets are to tight for a smooth draw. So I tried it with cargo type pants in the cargo pocket and the weight was a problem. I just got a 380 Bodyguard last month...

Late Serial # 380 Bodyguard.. Do they still have problems?

I got my new Bodyguard 380 a week ago last Friday. Ser# KBDxxxx. Finally got a chance to go to the range yesterday. I'm happy to say that the firearm seemed to perform fine. I did clean it before going to the range as I would do to any new firearm. I shot only 100 rounds and it was...

The Last Round You'll Ever Need !

I just got an e-mail from a friend showing this same ammo. It sounds like another ammo duel is forthcoming!! I guess I'm to old to jump on any bandwagon, as several others have stated tried and true for me as well. Although it is interesting to watch the video! See link below...

New Addition and HP ammo for it!!

Just got my latest addition to my M&P line, the Bodyguard 380. I think it will be a good pocket carry firearm for the summer months as well as when not wearing baggy pants during the winter. I was looking at HP ammo for it and saw some DRT Frangible Hollow Point ammo. I've done some looking...

Can anyone help with info on this TALO model?

I have a Talo Exclusive in a M&P full size 40 cal. The Talo Exclusive is a Nickel Boron slide and barrell. I sent S&W an e-mail last month about the option and they advised it is the same nickel boron finish on the compact version. My problem is that "it just doesn't say that in the...

    S&W M&P Talo Exclusive

I purchased a S&W M&P Talo Exclusive a year ago at a local gun store in 40 cal. At that time they had a duplicate in 9 mm. I didn't have the money to purchase both at that time, but went back 3 weeks later and of course it was gone. I've been trying to get that Talo Exclusive in the 9mm ever...

New holster for my m&p shield.

I've tried several different holsters both IWB and OWB for my Shield. The most comfortable, still by far, is the Cross Breed Super Tuck IWB, and the Disantis Thumb Break for the OWB application. I ware my belt very tight, keeping my britches at my waist where they belong, but more importantly...

    Shield recall

Shield Recall A good friend of mine who is a firearms instructor sent me this link Friday night. He knows that I have several S&W, M&Ps, and that for several months was carrying my Shield 9mm for an every day duty weapon. I still do a fair amount of shooting with it even though I carry it...

OFFICIAL (IN STOCK) 22LR AMMO THREAD

Shooters in Hooksett, NH had some 22 LR in stock today. It was 50 rounds for $15.99. That's kinda expensive if you ask me. My Son, yesterday, found some at Dick's in Concord,,,,,, 2000 rounds for $110, more like it, but still .06 per round. He text-ed me at noon and I got there after 5:30 pm...

    Magazine Question

I figured it might be a long shot weather they were any good or not. I got the MOE version. It seemed like a real good price and I think with those magpul accessories it is the best value. I knew mags are tough to come by and the prices are really horrible. I just never considered it would...

    Magazine Question

I just couldn't resist the new addition. I was in Shooters Outpost Hooksett, NH and got the new M&P 15-22, but it only came with one magazine, and they didn't have any S&W ones. I got a couple of "Plinker Tactical" 35 round mags so at least I'd have a few to use at the range this weekend, but...

    Cleaning question

Typically pistol brushes are shorter than rifle brushes. The idea is when cleaning a revolver barrel, you want the brush to go through the barrel into the space where the cylinder would be. A rifle brush would not and be hard to pull back through the barrel with the bristles facing the...
