Just went to the range and shot 100 rounds through the .40 , used both 6 and 7 round mags with Hornady CD and Winchester FMJ . I even mixed the ammo in each mag 3 & 3 and 4 & 3 staggered . No magazine drop no FTE/FTF ...now my shooting is another story lol ....wasn't to bad I had all six...
I have the .40 Shield my friend has the Nano both are great guns.Haven't really shot and compared side by side though but if I had a Nano I would definately get the Shield in .40

I have the .40 ...... while all ammo is inherently different I carry Hornady critical defense 165 grains which muzzle energy is 506 ft.lbs the identical 115 grain 9mm Hornady CD is 271 ft.lbs at the muzzle to me this is a big difference . I know 9mm is cheaper to practice with and wouldn't want...

1/8 twist works great with different grain ammo! I also have a Bushy (the other black riflle)
Congrats on your new AR , I recommend an Ergo grip and new Magpul CTR stock
