    Odd/Ugly M1917

That was my thought. I figured if it would not shoot the sum of it's parts would be worth much more than the $150.00 I paid. Given what Lawerance holsters go for these days it was like paying for the holster and getting the revolver for free. ;)

    Odd/Ugly M1917

There are none other than the proper barrel roll marks for a M1917 and inspection mark on the frame. Oh, the cylinder star is also a different serial. None of them match. I'm not counting the EPed number on the butt but it does not look like the barrel was switched-out.

    Odd/Ugly M1917

Yep, but I got "Browelled" a few years back. ;)

    Odd/Ugly M1917

Nah, I have enough M1917s to know the serial fonts....That and the proper roll marks are on the barrel along with an eagle's head behind the serial on the barrel.

    Odd/Ugly M1917

I picked this one up for a song and it's really odd.....And ugly. It's looks to have been made-up of parts. Serial #123305.....Oct of 1918? No US property markings on the barrel though the frame was inspected. No US Army or serial on the butt.....The barrel's serial is EPed on the butt. The...

    Model of 1950 .38/44 HD

I got this one in a trade with a friend today. Serial # S149732 Factory nickel. It wears Jay Scott pearls and a Tyler-T-Grip but I know it's supposed to have the diamond magnas. Anyone know what year it was made? Thanks.

    Post-War M&P Questions

I found this (non-factory nickeled) 5" M&P this morning. OK job on the nickel I guess and put back together properly. It's not buffed to heck and gone. Well worth the $200.00 I paid for it IMHO. I just wish they would have left the hammer/trigger alone. Serial S 853763 All matching, times...

    S&W 34-1 .22 "Kit Gun"

Many years ago I had a 2" Model 34.....That thing would not shoot worth a hoot. LOL....I was better off with an old Stevens single-shot break-open pistol for it's intended purpose of a trapline sidearm. The 34 did not stay with me long but I still have the old Stevens. ;)

    S&W 34-1 .22 "Kit Gun"

They are so nice I hate to scar them up in the field. :o I went ahead and ordered a decent set of Magnas that a guy had on eBay for a reasonable price. I have an extra Tyler T-Grip that fits it so I'll likely use that combination as I have several J-frames set-up that way and the combination...

    S&W 34-1 .22 "Kit Gun"

I picked this one up today in a trade. It was priced to the moon ($1200.00) but I only have around $500.00 in it with an CW musket I traded for it. I have other/better musket examples and i bought it for trade fodder anyway. Serial # M6951 Early 70s I guess. Very nice shape, not a mark on it...

    Model of 1903 5th Change .32

I picked this one up this morning for $60.00. Serial # 221156 The book said a few of them had the logo on the side plate, this one does. Made sometime between 1910-17. Not the best looking example in the world but I took it as a project as it was completely frozen-up with something that...

    K-22 Outdoorsman 1st Model Question

You know you might be right....The shop that sold it to me said it was and given the price I did not really bother looking at it hard other than to check function. Upon getting out my Magna Visor and looking it over everything does seem pretty crisp sure enough. :)

    K-22 Outdoorsman 1st Model Question

I picked this K-22 Outdoorsman 1st mode up this morning. Serial: 639040 so it's an early 1930s example I guess. Matching serials. Early one screw rear sight....Silver insert "dot" on the face of the front sight blade. It's nice and tight but a nicely done reblue with improper stocks/Tyler...
