NRA MEMBERSHIP ONLY UP 100,000 SINCE SANDY HOOK

Every gun owner should join the NRA. Everyone will be sorry when the politicians ban all guns in the future. Not far fetched. New York is a prime example and other states such as CT are not far behind. We should all stand together for our freedoms.

NY state bill to require liability insurance as condition of gun ownership

Mandatory insurance How will retired or poor people be able to afford expensive liability insurance? This is what the insurance industry did to muscle cars in the 60's. Make it too expensive to own a car or a gun! Everyone must wake up and say no before it is too late. The politicians have...

The democratic playbook Gentlemen, This type of legislation is appearing all across the fifty states, especially where democrats are in power. It is part of the "gun violence prevention playbook." Everyone must vote carefully in the future or more draconian measures will be provided under...

    Pending Legislation in Connecticut

ban Every shooting enthusiast and pistol permit holder must speak up and contact their representatives quickly. All of these laws only punish the law abiding citizens, not the criminals. I could not find the part about confiscation of magazines, only a prohibition for more than 10 rounds...

    Boycott FoodNetwork Sponsors

I hope that every sportsman in New York is writing to their representatives to protest this stupid law. The same thing is being discussed in CT and MASS as we speak. We must all wake up and be active in protecting our rights. No one will do it for us. I will never watch this woman again, how...

    7 round magazines

I must admit that I am a little concerned since NY passed a bill to restrict owners of weapons to 7 rounds. The governor of Ct. was heard on tv tonight saying that 10 or 7 rounds was good for him. Other than the Colt 1911's, how many factory mags are available for 7 rounds. I don't see any...

    Connecticut news

upgrade I caught some of the President's remarks. One news outlet stated that he wants to reinstate the 10 round "or fewer" size of magazines. Look what just happened in NY yesterday. They downgraded to 7. I just became a life member of the NRA. We must stand up for our rights or we will...

    Connecticut news

This morning, the Hartford Courant had an article regarding firearms and gun control. Govenor Malloy remarked that the New York law regarding the 7 round magazine "looked good to him." All of us must be vigilant, because our rights are being stripped away quickly by liberal politicians. I...

    Illinois news

I could not believe that "the land of Lincoln" had such a ban. All firearms owners need to belong to the NRA. I am so glad that the courts ruled in favor of self defense.

    range report

I have some Federal which I will try next time out. The demand for ammo is so high that many companies are outsourcing their ammo, with mixed results from what I have read on the net.

    range report

I spoke to SW this afternoon and they said that CCI is what they use. The man also told me that much ammo is being made fast and with off shore components due to demand. Who knows if this is true or not, but QC is not what it used to be. I'm old, and I have shot many weapons for 40 years...

    range report

Recently my MP9compact went to Smith for a repair because it was not firing some ammo. I went to the range today and fired about 50 rounds of Winchester White box 115 gr. 9mm. All was well except for one round that fired but did not eject. The case was in the chamber, so I cleared the weapon...

    Back from S&W

I received my MP9C from Smith this morning. It had a problem with rounds being hit but not firing. The service report lists a new striker and a trigger adjustment. I will be off to the range soon to test. Updates to follow. The repair was quick, and I hope that all of the issues will be...

    failure to fire

Update Took the MP back to the dealer and he did not like the feel of the trigger. We sent the weapon to Smith and Wesson for service. I can't depend on it when I need it. I know that the service department will make it right.
