    1911 SC Bi-Tone

Cremaly, the grip safety, and or the sear spring seemed "sloppy" not a lot of tension and rattled a little. I didn't notice it till I bought the SC and it had quite abit more tension. Not tight, but, solid with no rattle. I sent it back to S&W and they fixed it. More tension on the sear spring...

    1911 SC Bi-Tone

Bought the TA (stainless) first. Then had to have the SC. Both guns are great. Only issue I had was with the TA, sloppy grip safety. Sent back to S&W and repaired. The TA is crazy accurate. The SC is close.

    S&W 1911TA Stainless

I figured I'd try a product. NOXON 7 Metal Polish. Applied with a q-tip and rubbed and rubbed and rubbed. Buffed and buffed and buffed, you get the idea, with a cotton cloth. Worked! S&W 1911 question

I recently bought both the TA ans SC. Have shot the TA and the performance was excellent. Both guns are extremely well made. The only issue I have with the TA is the grip safety seems a little "sloppy". Have looked at others since and all seem to be the same. However, it's not an issue with...

S&W E Series TA and SC

Thanks Scooter123. Since my E series does have the AMBI safeties I'll send it back to S&W. Really don't have the expertise to fool with it even if it didn't. It's possible I'm concerned about nothing as the pistol shoots fien. In fact, the best shooter I've ever shot.

S&W E Series TA and SC

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and have recently purchased the E series TA and SC. I love both guns but on my TA the safety grip is sloppy. It's not on the SC. My question is, is this normal? And, if not is there an easy way to increase the spring tension? Thanks, KYDEER
