Your opinion on Bodyguard 2.0 vs LCP Max?

I agree with CWilly8 - the LCP Max is quite snappy with all defensive ammo that I've tried, as well as range ammo. The Bodyguard 2.0 is quite nice, especially after replacing the "Low and Left" factory sights with XL tritium sights. The BG2.0 is fun to practice with at the range - no sting...

    Case Pocket Knives

A friend of my wife's cousin (and my shooting buddy) is helping to sell a large collection of knives for his deceased friend's wife (Whew - follow all of that?). There is a ton of Case folders, Schrade and other American makers, and a fair number of collectibles, including a movie prop sword for...

    CSX E-series owners PLEASE respond

I picked my 3.1" E-series Saturday, cleaned and lubed it, and put 74 rounds thru it yesterday. I have no problem with the trigger. When shooting at a cadenced pace, the reset "tick" in my finger was the signal to pull again. I rarely notice a "heavy" trigger until it reaches 7 or 8 pounds...

Discuss the Bodyguard 2.0 thumb safety

I use and like the safety on the BG2.0 My first introduction to a pistol with a safety was shooting my dad's 1911 when I was 13. I'd been thru all of the .22 rifle and revolver stuff and had been pestering my dad to shoot his pistol. I did well after trying to make the first shot and...

    Whats your latest purchase? "guns/accessories"

I just bought a Rock Island BBR 3.10 in 9mm. Sadly, it came with only 1 magazine which limits it's usefulness as a defensive weapon here in the Seattle area. Currently disassembled for some polishing and smoothing, round butting the frame and redoing the soft checkering on the front strap. I...

    M&P competitor red dot suggestions

I am a BIG fan of Holosun products. I have then an all 4 of my comp guns (2 LTT Berettas, a Kimber full size, and an Equalizer. 407L on the Kimber and Smitty, and 507's on the Berettas. Never had a failure, and I really appreciate the side mounted battery tray.

What is your favorite pocket/concealed carry from the 80s-Presents?

I carried a Detonics Combat Master back when 6+1 was considered sufficient. Sold that pistol and bought a Glock 26. Now years later, I bought an unfired Combat Master and fixed the unfired problem. Don't carry it tho. Rather, I carry an Equalizer with a Holosun 407K RDS and an Inforce WML...

What kind of knife do you carry, if any?

SOG Pentagon XR. Awesome opening and closing action. Tho I have a pretty good collection, I've added only SOG and Buck knives over the last few years. Oh, I also carry a Gerber Dime multitool. This little thing is very handy.

CHEAP CHEAP 1911 Mania Extravaganza Continues!

For a number of years I have purchased older, worn 1911's and spent some time repairing, replacing parts and refinishing them. Some of these old guns will never be sold because they turned out so well. Along the way, I bought one of these Charles Daly field grade full size pistols, and found...

What are the common improvements/upgrades for a M&P15

Before making any recommendations, I would ask what you are building it for? For instance, it looks like a mid-range target shooter, maybe longer, and I think you have it fairly nicely set up. If this is for in-home or in yard self defense, I would consider dropping the scope and add a rifle...

Knife You've Owned the Longest Time

A Buck 110 that I purchased in 1965. It went everywhere with me in that leather case. After active duty, I didn't carry it all the time as I wore suits in my day job. I still have it, and occasionally take it out, give it a good polish and cleaning and make sure the edge is still good.

    Whats Your S&W EDC

3913. Found it at my LGS in nearly new shape with a good price. Every now and then I try carrying one of my officer sized 1911s, but within a day or two the Smitty is back on my belt. Light, good fit for my hand, one more round than any of the 1911s, and fun and accurate to practice with.

John - do you have any pictures or know of a video that shows this? I have a Calif Hiway Patrol 4006 TSW that has the decocker only, and I can disassemble that to see how it works but am looking for any and all info before I start cutting my 4516. Thanks in advance for any help, and even if...

    Holster Advice

Check K Rounds holsters. Quality kydex, nicely rounded edges so no sharp areas. Belt loops are designed to keep the holster tight against your body. After discovering this small manufacturer in Tukwila Washington years ago, I have had no other holster.
