    Rate My 27-2

The Rest of The Story If this was a test you passed with flying colors, especially you SaxonPig. Found this in a sporting good store for cheap and although mechanically sound it's finish looked as though it had spent at least 25 years in a automotive glove box with a bunch of loose marbles...

    Side Plate Interchangeability ?

Theoretically if you had to similar model revolvers and wanted to swap side plates would they fit? Maybe a better way to ask this is each side plate hand fitted? I have never tried but am curios to here your experiences. Thank you.

Mod 67 primer marks on recoil shield

No expert here, but I have a mod 66 x law enforcement issue that's been shot to death and has the same markings. It's one of my favorites and can't find anything wrong with it. I am interested to hear if I am missing something.

When is it worth having a pistol lettered ?

Almost all my firearms are taken to the range and shot for pleasure. I do have a few un-fired new in box 19's and 27's. Is it worth to have them authenticated? Thanks in advance for views and opinions.

    How common is this-

I have the exact 19-4 four inch as you described, I wondered if it was unique but as time goes by I have learned most likely not. With that said it is a favorite of mine to shoot and would be my pick of the two. Good luck !

Bought my very first SAT and box today!

You need to do the right thing and return the gun. You admitted you only purchased a box and tool kit, obviously there was no transfer. Now go do the right thing. VERY NICE.........LOL

    Caving To Common Sense

Wow there is someone else out there like me, I struggle with this as I collect all the time, but it doesn't stop there. I am the same way with muscle cars / daily drivers and more. It's wired that i love pristine items but am more comfortable using less perfect ones. I know I need help. Thanks...

I had many members of my wife's and my family from out of state, probably won't happen again but it was worth it. Believe it or not it wasn't to many guns.
