    6904 Slide Finish Question

I’m traveling right now so can’t access the invoice but it was under $300 including Fedex shipping each way (I think it was $280). I think they replaced the grips too, or they cleaned them really well. The only downside is they have a backlog of work and it took three months.

    6904 Slide Finish Question

For what’s worth, S&W can refinish it but they do take awhile. I just got my 6904 back from them. They checked it over for proper function, replaced all the springs and totally refinished it. It looks brand new.

    New Model 915

The 915 was the first pistol I ever purchased way back in 1993. Ive probably only fired 2k rounds through it but it's been 100% reliable. The only thing I never liked were the sights but last year I sent the slide to Novak and had low mount three dot sights installed. I own various Berettas, CZs...

    Your first 1st & 2nd & 3rd Gen!

My first was my first handgun ever, a 915 I bought in 1993. I recently sent it to Novak, had three dot sights installed and then I installed KSD grips. Maybe I spent more than makes sense but I don't really care. It's been 100% reliable and I'm keeping it. My second was a custom 559. It has...

    Sayre PD marked 4506

I just acquired a 4506 and it's in the California mandatory 10 day waiting period so I can't post pics, but was wondering if anyone here could possibly give me more info. It's marked Sayre PD 031. My research shows it could be from a PD in Pennsylvania or Oklahoma or ? Does anyone happen to know...

How will I explain this new 915 to wifey?

My 915 is the first firearm I ever purchased way back in 1992 and I still have it. They're great guns! Regarding your dilemma, it seems to me that you just need to keep buying. After awhile it's too hard for the wives to do inventory and keep track :-)

What are the correct Stocks for 1975 vintage 18-3?

I hope this isn't a stupid question but here goes. I recently purchased a model 18-3 in near mint condition which I was told dates to around 1975. It has a set of aftermarket stocks and I want to replace them with a set of factory target stocks. I've been checking around and found some are...

Model 18-3. Deal or no deal?

I've got a chance to pick up this model 18-3 from an estate sale for $500.00. They also have a model 559 for the same price I'll ask about in another sub-forum. Anyway, I don't know much about it except it's got the wrong grips and seems very clean. Any info you guys could tell me about age and...

New guy needs info on Model 10

Hi all! I recently obtained my mother's gun after she passed away and was hoping to obtain info, specifically the age, value for insurance purposes, and if it can shoot +P ammo, but any info from the experts would be appreciated. As the saying goes, I don't know what I don't know. What I do...
