no brainer in my opinion. -how often do you have a chance at consecutives? -how often do you have a chance to purchase a version of the other model you're looking at? Unless the other model you're wishing to purchase is something super rare......another will come along. Most likely...

LaVista -- These came out in 1983 as a set that they offered to Indiana State Police Officers. It was the 66 stainless handgun and a Ruger Mini 14. They made 500 of them and they each had the ISP 50yr logo on the side. The pistol came in presentation case and the rifle had a padded case...

I too have not seen a factory nickel either but thought I'd share this one from my collection. K22 Outdoorsman 1st model --- had bad spotting of the blue on one side from poor storage as I can tell. No pitting whatsoever, mint chambers and bore and excellent condition matching # grips...

Here is 240028 Finish is a little worn but locks up tight. 7 patent dates showing and last one is Sept 14 09 I assume this is bobbed hammer and not sure what kind of front site you would call this? Hopefully this will add to your database
