    A Sock Drawer 2nd Model HE 44

That is truly gorgeous. I love it. Interestingly, my 5" barrel'd .44 Hand Ejector, 2nd Model shipped: March 24, 1927... Serial no. 27212.

    Oh those C and D S&W Model 10’s

Okay, there are some serious beauties in this thread... What I just put money down on is NOT one of them. :D But the trigger! In both single in double action, it's nothing short of exquisite! Now, I get it... this is just my first model 10 (a 10-7). (I believe from the late 70s?)

    New to me 28-2

I agree with the comments on the personalized engraving… usually, a big negative, in this case cool provenance that ties the gun inextricably to the man, his jewelry business, and a time and place. I would have ripped my pocket yanking my wallet out, too. Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

New (to me) Remington M1903 Modified Joins Springfield

It might surprise you to know that I completely agree with you… Well said, sir! Fortunately for me, my shooting of the M1903 Springfield is limited to such perfect conditions as you describe. :D For SHTF scenarios, I would not rely on this able work horse of a century ago.

New (to me) Remington M1903 Modified Joins Springfield

The first gun I ever became truly enamored with was my dad’s old Springfield Model 1903 (SA 5-18 bbl.). When he surprised me with it on a visit about 15 years ago, (he is now 90) I couldn’t believe it. It was the first long gun I ever shot and, although it has had some arsenal refurbishment...

MY INFAMOUS WINCHESTER WANNABE MODEL 62A ROSSI RIFLE

Chief, That’s a successful outcome to an otherwise hopeless cause. Your dad’s stick-to-it-ness paid off and you received a nice shooter, while paying him tribute at the same time. Thanks for sharing a great story. I got my Rossi in a trade. The original owner bought it probably 35 years ago...

Where's a good home for this and guesstimates on its value ?

Wow! Great entrance, and welcome! Very cool revolver… I can’t give a good estimate, but I sure know of a good home!

    Model 25

OP, congratulations on your new-to-you Model 1955! You definitely did well at the price you paid. In January 2020, I paid $1,000 (even) for my 1980 example. I felt happy with that price then, as I do now. And, yes... a joy to shoot. No moonclips or tools required. -Bill

    New owner 38/44 Outdoorsman

tybochip, Congratulations on your find. I have yet to come across an Outdoorsman in many years of perusing gun stores and pawn shops. I think you did well, and even more so with the late-‘70s-to-early-‘80s target stocks. By the way, the target stocks you have are righteous Gonçalo Alves that...

    Ruger Speed Six

I like the Speed-Six revolvers the most of the -Six series, but I would have passed on that one, personally. But, enjoy it, if that’s what you consider a good deal where you live. Where I live this 3” USPS-lettered Speed Six (on the left) was a good deal for me, for $540 out the door. -Bill

    Whats your latest purchase? "guns/accessories"

Ruger-Marlin Model 1894 Joins Remington-Marlin Model 1895 Ruger-Marlin Model 1894, .44 Remington Magnum. Used, but mechanically perfect. I’ll need to steam out 2 or 3 indentations in the butt stock. At $700 even, I think I did alright. It won’t replace the Browning 1892 (Miroku, Japan)...

1950 Model 44 Target treasure hunt

What a beauty! I just have the gun, no extras. The letter says mine (S146xxx) shipped July of 1955 with Target Stocks... but, I'm told not likely these with the "football" cutout, on the revolver when I bought it. Thanks for sharing. Here's mine. -Bill

No Beauty Queen… Nickel 3rd Model HE, 6th Ch.

I got this about a week or so ago. Condition is mechanically good but cosmetically “lacking.” Someone had gone over the left side, cylinder, and side plate with an abrasive and left fine scratches. Using Flitz, I polished out what I could and gave it the Renaissance Wax treatment. She’ll never...

S&W 41 extra stamp on the frame

Does it affect the accuracy? Did you get a lower price because of it? I doubt it means anything more than what you see. I would be more concerned with the overall condition.
