    Kramer Leather Customer Service Experience

I had some discussions with the folks at Ritchie Leather concerning a custom holster(s) that I wanted made. They were "copies" of the old Alessi "bodyguard" shoulder holster with a couple of minor modifications to the holster attachment and the design of the harness. I have both the Alessi...

Which length 27-2 would you get if you could only have one

5 inch is the best of both worlds (IMO). Conceals almost as well as a 4 inch, sight radius almost as good as a 6 inch.

Just curious if anyone here who partcipated in the spare magazine thread has rethought it after LA riots.

Perhaps if you were in the midst of it, your perception of the situation might be different!

    LEO Marked S&W Semi-Autos

Great guns, HEAVY, YES. I bought one off GB some years ago and it must have been issued to someone in an Admin. position...the grips weren't even bugger up. I added a set of adjustable sights and I can detect no weight difference. I carried a 4006 on duty back in the 90s and loved it. It was the...

    686 appreciation post

If you can't find silver...go with blue. I had wanted a 686 6 shot W/6 inch barrel...one of the old ones... a "no dash" if I could find one... but no luck for several years. I saw a few on GB, but I simply wasn't going to pay the exorbitant prices. I ran across a 6 inch, 6 shot 586 (no dash)...

New to me Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman

I have a pair of model 28-2s both 4 inch. I bought a Colt Trooper MkIII first, but didn't like it so I traded it back to the shop and got a model 28. Loved it from the start. It shot everything I put in it from .38s to HOT loaded .357 magnums. This was also the pistol that I carried when I first...

    New to me 5906

I bought one several years ago from Gunbroker, I paid a premium price for it, but it came with 6 mags. It was a police trade-in, but it must have been issued to someone in Admin. because it was like 98%. The original grips weren't even marked up. I carried a 4006 on duty in the 90s and it was a...

what gun does this holster fit...lots of searching but no answer

I'm looking at a Bianchi "border patrol" or "jordan river" holster that is marked "Bianchi 99M" and "38/357 magnum". The holster is in GREAT shape at a good price. I have a S&W model 28 four inch and I'd like to pick this holster up for it's twin. The problem is that LOTS of other manufacturers...

    1970s Police Service Pistol question

HUh??? I don't know how many thousands of .357 mag. rounds I've fired through my Mod. 28 S&W 4" and I've never noticed much recoil at all. In fact, it's more accurate with .357 rounds. When I first went into law enforcement we had to provide our own weapons and were only authorized to carry...
