A short post with over 50 years experience with phosphor bronze cleaning brushes

Am I a butcher? Neglecting the Lewis lead remover, I'm used to remove lead from forcing cone, rifling and revolver chambers ( often after shooting .38spl in .357 revolvers) wrapping copper ChoreBoy around a worn bronze brush.

Looking at a 27-2... anything to watch out for regarding fakery, refinishing, etc?

I apologize for my rude statement: but as I said in other threads, I am shocked about the prices asked in US for guns produced in the same Nation! To me, hard pass for 2,5k. Recently I bought a NIB, unfired 5” 27-2 , standard setup - magnas, narrow trigger and hammer - with box and papers (ok...

Idea to create a new revolver with a modified action

Of course it is possible. I am italian, and here several decades ago Mr. Emilio Ghisoni, a Gun lover engineer , designed and produced a bunch of innovative firearms, well known and extremely sought after , today. MT1, 2006M, MTR8, Grifone and the mythical 6Unica. The Mateba (Macchine...

Demand for factory Remington 22 jet ammunition?

I had two boxes of Remington . Around half of the first has been shot by a tester of national magazine , to write a review of the revolver several years ago; the second one is still full. Almost all the cases cracked on the rim, and they stuck in the cylinder. Fortunately I had no forcing...

    Non-Registered Magnum.

Congrats! Nice shot! I would like to highlight two gems: the Mcgivern gold bead frontsight and the serrated humpback hammer!

    14-3 Questions and Pictures

Why not settle for Robertson? They are aluminum, not brass, they don't always fit perfectly with the grip, but they do the job. Some references: Robertson Trading Post Grip Adapter

Thought hard about it, but passed

I know this buddy, selling a 4" for 800, with its box and accessories, in safe queen conditions. Alas, we are overseas. Other markets, as I often say.....

    Dan Wesson Range Day

Then, in your opinion, this set with 4 barrels should be a fair deal for the 1300 eu (around 1400 $) the seller is asking?

    629 pinned and recessed

Hi Gabriele. As I told you a couple of days ago, I don't think it's worth it. Also, as far as I can tell, there's not all the accessories, and the box fabric isn't the original. You can find a lot of cheaper 629 6" even here in Italy, if you don't get hung up on whether it's pinned or not.

anyone have information on this set of thumbrest grips?

Herrett thumbrest grips. I felt in love with them (all the thumbrest grips, to be honest), and I bought several for my revolvers. Cheaper and less elegant copies were made by Jay Scott . I found here in the Forum an older prototype I like a lot.
