Thanks for the replies. It ended up being a broken slide lock spring. I ordered a new slide lock that comes with a new spring. While I had the gun apart I also installed the Apex trigger along with a 20lbs slide spring and stainless spring guide from gunsprings.com. I am very happy with results...
