Smith & Wesson 38/44 King sights

Your photo of the bottom of the sight shows the slot that slides over the existing non target sight Hard to say if yours fits a colt or S&W You might try purchasing a reproduction copy of a King catalog Attaching photo

Smith & Wesson 38/44 King sights

Yes the ones in your add look like a match Both my shooting buddy and I really liked the sight picture of the round front bead aligned in the half round rear notch ! Much more natural that trying to get a square front sight even with the top and have equal space on each side

Smith & Wesson 38/44 King sights

Yours looks awesome too !!! Glad you didn’t bid on it too …one other bidder drove the price up $500 but I was committed (or maybe should be committed) to taking this one home no matter what Yes original looooong action…it feels really good to me but I let a guy at the range shoot it and he...

Smith & Wesson 38/44 King sights

Period correct black washer magnas not serial numbered to pistol came on this 38/44 On a 6 1/2” N frame they look and feel like a twigs on a live oak ! The grips in the photo feel really good but my model 27 deserves more than magnas too Two children only one good pair of shoes I have seen...

Smith & Wesson 38/44 King sights

I just came back from the range and this one shoots as well as it looks ! It's a 1946 post war transitional long action with King mirror front sight, King round white outline rear sight and I can only assume that King also tuned the amazing trigger with gauges at 2 1/4 pounds ;) I can't put...

    help identify S&W target grips

Your input is MUCH appreciated...the wood and S&W medallions appear to be identical so your comment makes perfect sense...the inlaid diamonds, however, are easier to grasp as a customization than the exquisite fine checkering... thanks again

    Barn find: 1964 F100 pickup.

Those f-100’s are classic! I restored one and drove it for 10 years. I one upped you on bare bones . My 1965 had the original 150 straight six manual three on the tree and no chrome. Complete mechanical rebuild…blue paint …blacked out the trim….painter had a set of mag wheels in the barn. Only...

S&W 1905 target with cut barrel

Kevin I Really like the front sight on yours ! Almost makes me want to have a Smith replace the shark fin front sight on mine. Almost. 4” barrel or less ? Gold bead on the patridge ? I never expected this many responses with such nice examples of cut barrels Dave

S&W 1905 target with cut barrel

Ralph Very helpful! I will try to get my hands on a mid 30’s catalog. That being said I have tested the trigger pull on my 1905 on a Lyman electronic gauge and reads 2.3 pounds consistently. I am guessing that no matter how good the factory trigger a talented smith can almost always make it even...
