I am debating on getting the 4" 686 SSR or 5" 686+Pro series 7 shot. I have only had a chance handle the ssr at the lgs because none of them have a 686+pro in stock. I really like the feel and balance of the SSR but I was wondering if the 5" 686+Pro feels more noticeably nose heavy than the ssr...

Thanks. I just wasn't sure if when they cut the cylinder for moon clips if it effected the Headspace when not using the clips.

After reading the great comments made here, I'm now leaning toward the 686 because there doesn't seem to be any real good advantages of the 986 over the 686 due to the finicky issues that go along with the 986 such as having to get the right thickness of moon clips that work best with one ammo...
