    S&W 52-2

S&W Support just responded to my question and they said this one has a manufacture date of 1968–1969. Had a collector look at it in person and he agreed that it is unfired too. Was a good find

    Talk to me about a S&W 52-2

Thinking the same. I took a very close look at it, and had a long time dealer friend of mine look at it and he said it’s unfired and the only thing I’m missing is the paperwork. Need to find a original copy

    S&W 52-2

Thanks, that was my thought too. I emailed S&W to see if they can give me a date based on the serial number. Very happy with it!

    Talk to me about a S&W 52-2

Picked up my first one today! Not sure I will shoot this one, at least not yet, since it is unfired (except factory shots). Has box, tools, 3 mags, etc. REALLY like it and it is all in very nice condition.

    S&W 52-2

Picked up my first model 52 today. It is an unfired (other than factory firing), model 52-2, has the original box, tools, 3 mags, etc. I have owned 39-2’s in the past and this sure looks similar. This is one of the pics he sent me of it, it is very clean. Any info on the 52-2’s that is worth...

“TX” marking on 28-2 Highway Patrolman

What does the F22 represent for Special Features (circles in red)?

“TX” marking on 28-2 Highway Patrolman

Yeah, it’s really clean. Been shot some and has some turn marks on the cylinder but it’s in really nice condition and the box looks new. The trigger has grooves and seems to be the wider one too.

“TX” marking on 28-2 Highway Patrolman

If it is a drivers license number, and I assume it is, I wish there was a way to figure out who that was actually tied to, just to have the history on it. Would be cool to figure that out and if the person is still alive, then reach out to them About it.

“TX” marking on 28-2 Highway Patrolman

Seems like the consensus is that it is definitely a drivers license number from the 1970s. Makes sense to me. Hate that it’s been etched but still a very clean and great Gun to be added to the group of other revolvers! Seems like the consensus is that it is definitely a drivers license number...

“TX” marking on 28-2 Highway Patrolman

Hasn’t thought about that but I guess it could be, not sure

“TX” marking on 28-2 Highway Patrolman

Yeah, I thought about that as well but wasn’t sure it was worth the expense of it. I might do it though, if nobody has come across this lettering before. Thanks!

“TX” marking on 28-2 Highway Patrolman

Yeah, I was definitely happy to find it. Gun and box are both in great condition! Hoping to figure out what the TX numbers are from, just to know about the history, but happy with it for sure!

“TX” marking on 28-2 Highway Patrolman

Picked up another S&W revolver this week and wondering if anyone knows what the hand etched “TX6077058” is for? Looks to be from 1972 and was told that it was used by a Texas PD or Sheriffs department. Just curious if anyone else has come across this and knows for sure because the seller was...

Model 69 - is it a Combat Magnum?

Just made the trade and just like Venom6, the box says Model 69 but the barrel says Combat Magnum, so I supposed all of the model 69's are Combat Magnums?

Model 69 - is it a Combat Magnum?

I will check it out later when we meet up to trade and let you know what I find. Was just curious if some 4.25" were Combat Magnums and some weren't, and if that was the case, I was curious if it made a difference on price.

Model 69 - is it a Combat Magnum?

I am going to trade one of my 686-6's for a model 69 later today. The 69 that I am looking at has a 4-1/4" barrel. Was doing some reading on the 69's and I thought the "Combat Magnum" models were only in the 2-3/4" barrels but I saw a few 4-1/4" barrels advertised as "Combat Magnums" as well...
