**FOUND** 240 RD 22 LR LOADING BLOCK FOR S&W 617

Does anyone have one of these to sell, or know where I could find one? Dillon Precision doesn't appear to be carrying them anymore.

    Aftermarket front sight

You need to at least check out the SDM Fiber Optic. That's all I run on my S&W revolvers now. If you need your eyes to be drawn to the front sight, those are the one. Super Sights

Should I shoot Major or Minor this weekend?

This was my thought. I usually shoot IDPA with my 610 in ESR, and embrace the reloads. My Steel Challenge centerfire is my 929, and the only one I've used in USPSA. I enjoy shooting the 610 using full power .40 factory ammo, but just wasn't sure if it was really worth it for points vs. time...

Should I shoot Major or Minor this weekend?

Have a question for my fellow wheel gunners. I usually shoot my 929 in USPSA obviously shooting Minor. I'm curious on your thoughts about me shooting my 610 with .40's and shooting Major. Other than the 4 points for a C Zone instead of 3 points in Minor, what is the benefit?

    Steel Challenge With 617

AzShooter, I love shooting my 6" 617 in Steel Challenge. It's the only .22 pistol I've shot in Steel Challenge. I am a B Class shooter and currently ranked 14th in the world with it. I doubt there are any other wheel guns ahead of me. I may change to a semi at some point, but I'd love to...

    IDPA....

S&W 610 ESR I'm shooting a S&W 610 using .40 caliber loaded into Speed Beez moonclips and paddle holster. Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight, TK Custom Speed trigger and hammer, and a Revolver Supply cylinder release. I'm using North Mountain moonclip holders, but have had trouble with...

Who Uses a Hogue S&W Cylinder Release?

I do! I use them on my 929, 627-5, and my 6" 617 that I all shoot Steel Challenge with. I also shoot USPSA with the 929. I really believe that I can open the cylinder faster because of them, than with a factory release. It's definitely personal preference, but I was hooked after I bought my...

    M617 today in ASI

6" 617 I shoot my 6" barrel 617 in the Steel Challenge Rimfire Iron Sight Division. I love shooting against semi-autos and beating them. I use the DS-10 loaders with mine. I mirror polished the inside of the frame where the trigger return spring housing is, then installed a Wolff 15 pound...

Hogue Round Butt Conversion style Rubber Monogrip W/Wood Big Butt

I'm sure this comes down to personal preference, but I wanted opinions on why some shooters like the finger grooves on the grips, and others don't. I want to put a set of these on my 929 and 627.

    New Model 66 (66-8?)

66-8 I love my 66-8. I installed an SDM fiber optic front sight and VZ Grips. Changed the hammer spring and the trigger return spring and bobbed the hammer. I shoot IDPA matches with it and also carry it as my sidearm while in uniform.

LEOs: Revolvers for Duty in 2019?

Well, I am sure I have the qualifications to say this. I would rather have a crusty old veteran with a wheel gun, that was not only confident, but also proficient with their wheel gun - than a rookie that shot just a passing score. Accuracy is everything. Rounds fired is not. You can't miss...

LEOs: Revolvers for Duty in 2019?

My two cents, that probably isn't worth two cents. In September I will have 24 years in law enforcement. I have been a law enforcement firearms instructor for 19 years and I am currently a full time instructor with my agency. Does a revolver still have a place in law enforcement? I believe...

    65-4 Won't fire fast

A friend brought me a 65-4 that was in a case that got wet. The grips were rusted on and had to be cut off. The hammer and trigger were severely pitted. I was able to get the revolver apart and clean most of the rust off. I bought a used trigger and hammer, but used the original hand...
