    CMP Moves to GB

The CMP left me, I didn’t leave them. I was kind of disgusted to see they are moving to gun broker.

I hope Cindy does not store it in the holster.

    S&W Outdoorsman

Honest wear on a 90 year old will include a chip in the stock. You will not increase the value by repairing the stocks, but you sure can degrade the value. If your repair is perfect you still need to get 90 years of patina back on the stock.

Does the serial number stamp look like it was done at the factory? Something about the font looks peculiar.

    Old ammo question.

If I was closer, I would see if I could out bid Charlie. Not sure what a fair price is but most prices on the internet are rather optimistic. Good luck to you.

    Silencer tax is history

$200 in 1934 was some money, today not much more than a decent dinner for two. Regulation is still there. What a big nothing burger.

The Last Gun You'll Part With

Been thinking about this, my answer is all of them are for sale. My brother got Grandpas Winchester so that would be the only one with sentimental value. All the rest are easily replaced with a similar gun if the itch strikes.

    Questions on refinishing stocks

I would imagine than if the gun is original then the wear on the stocks would be similar to the wear on the gun. That being said “improving” the stocks would impact the value as a reblue would.

    Crypto, your opinion requested.

I would rathe have four nickels in my pocket. When the power goes out I want something in my hand, not electrons.

    General revolver values?

Patience will get you all of them for at least $500 less. None are super rare. Pristine, with the correct box should still be found for significantly less than your friends prices. I would pass, keep the friend and search elsewhere.

    Pre model 31, I think 🤔

Swap the stocks out and you have a real keeper. Shoot it.
