I got a DENIED the other day...

The nra model is a lipsey special from a few years ago. Same concept as the 2a model that they have now. Only difference is the beautiful color. Good buy. Hopefully they start looking at the SSN from now on and stop confusing you for someone else.

What was your first Smith and Wesson??

Overall first was an m&p40 m2.0. First revolver was a .460xvr w/14" barrel. I became a .40 guy and a smith guy on the same day.

    M&P Shield Plus

A shield in any caliber is a fantastic gun. I have the plus carry comp which I love, the shield .40pc 3.1", and shield 45. I carry the 45 and the other two are just range toys, but I would trust any of the three with my life. Try the carry comp with some nato or +p ammo and you will see what the...

    32 & 38 Regulation Police

They are fun shooters. At $800 I feel like i overpaid for mine, but I have no regrets about it. I got mine at cabelas earlier this year and it came with two boxes of ammo and a note with the previous owner's name and phone number. I still haven't called, but ive been thinking about it, even if...

Underwood Ammo and Freedom Munitions PSA - Update Post 16

Had this happen with the extreme defender in a p365 a couple years ago. Hard primers for a couple of the rounds in the 20 round box. Never had it happen before or since though. Sorry to hear about the squib. Thats always a bit disheartening.

So… is the Beretta M9 still the Worst?

I only have experience with one 92 series pistol(my M9A3). It's accurate and has very little recoil. Keep it clean and lubed and it functions flawlessly. Get lazy and forget to clean it and it doesn't like to feed the watered down range fodder, but will eat hotter ammo like a champ. It's also...

Winchester Comes to Save the Ammo Day (MUST SEE)

I actually love winchester ammo. All that I feed my sd40 is white box 165gr fmj. Never had a problem with winchester ammo of any caliber. P.s. someone made a comment about remington getting their act together. Aside from the dreaded golden bullets, remington is my preferred ammo for rifle...

Need help choosing good 1st Revolver for a beginner..

I would recommend a ruger sp101 4 inch barrel. You can get it in 327 if you want to have lighter recoil with .32h&r or .32s&w long. Or you can get it in 357 and shoot 38s to get acclimated to it.

    Best place to live?

I've lived in northeast Ohio my whole life and often refer to it as Texas with snow. The only drawbacks in my eyes are that you have to use straight wall cartridges to hunt, and if you carry without a license, don't get pulled over in a school zone or you will have a bad time. Other than that...

    Lew Horton S&W 627-3 5" and S&W 627-PC 6 1/2"

Oh my god. I love the 5", but that 6 1/2" looks incredible. Thank you for sharing that. I had no idea that even existed.

    627's on,,,

Just picked this one up a couple of weeks ago. It took me way too long to finally get one. It's my first .357mag and I absolutely love it. I cannot describe my excitement when I loaded it up for the first time with the moon clips. For some reason I felt like a kid in a candy store. Forgive my...

What are some of the 21st Century instant classics?

I would say that the .460 revolvers will end up achieving "classic" status. Also, in an era where plastic reigns supreme, I would put the metal m&p pistols in there too(or any metal variant of a traditionally plastic handgun). The sig p226 legion/mk25(not saying they are the same gun, but I hold...

Family range day sounds awesome. Doesn't matter how old we get. Time spent with dad will always be appreciated.

Which length 27-2 would you get if you could only have one

5 inch. No contest for me. I do like the longer barrels, as well as the 3.5 inch, but that 5 inch is just perfect to me

If You Could Only Own One Smith & Wesson… What Would It Be?

Going by what i already have, I would probably have to go with my PC SD40

    HK CC9?

Just shot my bosses cc9 last weekend at the range. We did a little carry 9 comparison(cc9, 365, hellcat, shield+, fn reflex, csx). I like the slightly nose heavy feel to the cc9 and it functioned perfectly, but i don't think it shot as nice as the reflex or csx. It's a good gun, just not the end...

Trends You Simply Can't Stand...Feel Free To Vent Here

Oprah got ahold of the 9mm cartridge and now it's all anybody makes. Sure there are some cool guns in 9mm, but they'd be cooler in 40, 45, .357sig, 10mm, etc. Edited to add: People who go to an indoor range and complain about people's guns being loud. It can be annoying having someone with a 5"...

For those with astigmatism and green dot RMR

I also have astigmatism and steered clear of dots for a long time because of it. Green does help a little bit, but I find i get the best results with the lowest power setting that I can still see. The lower the power, the less of the "star burst" that i get.
