This is a great pictorial example of why I don't like Altamont grips. Notice how thin the wood is at the back strap compared to the factory S&W grips. Very painful when you shoot the revolver.

An interesting basket weave and border tooled old Brill-a-like that unfortunately had the cuff (with maker stamp?) removed a long time ago. It was made for an N frame S&W like the .38-.44 shown but apparently someone used it to carry a Colt SAA regularly. Welt thickness increases at the toe.

I have owned and observed many Bianchi holsters but this is the first #81 model that I have seen. I would call it unusual. Red Nichols perhaps has some history to share on this model.

I looked at those Roxors when a local dealer brought a few in. I liked them because they reminded me of an old 1947 Willys jeep I had years ago. For us, this older 4X4 Kawasaki Mule 4010 with its handy dump bed works very well around the ranch. You can buy a new one for about $12K.

Technically speaking that is a Micrometer Caliper (meaning that it is a caliper that uses a micrometer method of measurement) which over the years has been shortened to simply "Mic". Tom S. gave a good explanation of how to get a measurement of thickness or diameter with it.
