What gun are you on the lookout for?

I have so many that if I even mentioned about getting another gun, my wife would most likely shoot me with one of them.;)

Concealed Carry Permit. Is This True?

Move to Louisiana, we're totally free to protect ourselves wherever we go, the good, the bad , and the deceased.

    What are you carrying today?

I now carry a Glock 21SF Gen 3, 45ACP in the daytime, tru-glow sights and a Glock a Gen 4, 9mm at night, you guessed it, tritium night sights. Carried a S&W model 39-2 for 20 years after ETOS from the military.

    What are you carrying today?

Reminds me of a time when I'm about to frisk someone and showing a little humor I'd ask if they had any knives, guns, or hand grenades. The hand grenades always threw them off, just enough that I could quickly cuff them while they're distracted. At times I'd say while frisking, is that your...

Need help choosing good 1st Revolver for a beginner..

Back in the early 90s I purchased a used model 19-4 in nickel, almost mint condition for $200. I look at it now and feel like I stole something. I mostly shot 38 special out of it and it has a good feel to it, a bit better than a model 10, IMO. Now 357s out of it add another feature and...

The unavoidable gun fight. Are you confident with your handgun choice?

I've been carrying concealed since 1973 and I am so confident in my shooting ability, I'd be happy to show some lowlife how shooting accurately is important. Being a retired cop, it'll always be in me. I can't stand to see people taken advantage of. Every situation is different and you won't...

    Low capacity but probably enough

I'm a retired cop and never had to shoot anyone, came close many times but loud clear words worked everytime. After I retired I was getting gas at a station when a car filled with a bunch of older teenagers pulled up and parked the farthest away from the business that they could. An alarm...

Feeling more secure with a revolver vs. a semi-auto?

I'm retired LE and a veteran. I've carried revolvers at the begining, exited the military and carried S&W model 39-2 for years. I now decided on 2 carry guns, Glock 21SF, Gen 3 and Glock 19 Gen 4. I love all of my S&W revolvers but when my life and others are at harm, I depend on what I have...

    S&W 39-2 Price?

I purchased a Model 39-2 brand new in 1973, paid $135. It was my 1st gun purchased after exiting the military. I still have it, box and all. Love the way it feels in my hand.

    Cops and revolvers

I have a lifelong friend that basically lives in the 'nowadays woods in the country, Louisiana, who has weapons, reloads, has been shooting at creatures, targets, everything for over 70 years. Not kidding, could shoot the eyes out of a flea. Some years back, we were shooting our 22lr rifles, me...

Does anyone not own a 9mm?

Can't tell you how many bodies I stood over that were killed with 9mm handguns. It's not quite as weak as one might think.

Does anyone not own a 9mm?

The first gun I purchased after getting out of the military in 1972 was a S&W model 39-2 in 9mm and when I retired from law enforcement some years back, I bought a Glock 19, gen 4. I have many other guns, 38, 357, 44 mag, 45ACP, and long guns. Love em all!

    Recommend Me An AR-15 Trigger

Some years back I purchased a Colt M-4 Carbine at a gun show. Always HATED the stock triggers on these platforms. Before I even fired it, I purchased a Geissele SSA trigger, watched a youtube video install and did it myself, was totally satisfied.
