Ok so I took a couple more pictures. I do see now that the serial number is written in pencil on the back of the right grip. Hopefully you can see what you are looking for with the updated pictures. Again thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help. I added a couple more pictures. Is this something that I could get a letter on? Would it tell what barrel it was originally shipped with? Nothing written on either grip panel when they were removed.

I have a revolver that has been passed down to me. I believe it’s a 1905 but not sure. It does not have any S&W stamping on the frame. It’s a six digit serial number with no letters. There is a chance the barrel was swapped out for the 2” barrel that is currently on it. Serial number on the...
