I picked up a pair of Ruger P85 pistols yesterday.

They really are nice...I saw a YouTube video where Zib grips made a custom pair for a guy on there so he could advertise them for them. It had his business name in the scrollwork of the grip. I took a chance and sent them a message through Ebay if they could customize with my name and they...

I picked up a pair of Ruger P85 pistols yesterday.

Strangely enough, I also recently bought two of these as well. I owned a P89 25 years or so ago, and I traded it off. I recently reminisced about having one back and I ended up buying two of them, (much like you). One is a P89 and the other is a P85 MKII...The MKII is the P85 with the recall...

    Guess I Won't Buy a Car Until Oct. 15

I would say there is probably less than $15 worth of raw material in a Registered Magnum. It's the craftsmanship and assembly that makes the product. The only thing that the "raw material" comparison directly compares with would be a gold, one ounce US American Eagle.... Its intrinsic value of...

    Guess I Won't Buy a Car Until Oct. 15

This is correct....There were videos on YouTube of scrappers crushing newer VW's not because of damage nor rust, but often small mechanical issues that made the cost more than the value of the car. Hard pass on VW

    Factory letter

It certainly helps with value documentation of the original features as shipped compared to how it looks now. However, if it shipped to Frank's Hardware in Two Dot Montana versus a small shipment to Buffalo Bill Cody, that would matter as well.

    Uniform Hat/Cap

That "gentleman" couldn't work for me.....Also, something about that "badge" and the checkerboard reflective pattern almost looks UK or maybe European.

The only way I'll find out is on here because there's two things I wouldn't have done in the first place: 1) Buy Tyler T grips with a known biblical wait length for shipment 2) Not immediately file a "stop payment" on my check when they wouldn't answer the phone or emails for weeks on end,

    Rossi M885

Mine has and works perfectly...I have told this story before, but I bought the gun 35+ years ago from a pawn shop in Tennessee. It is the blued version with 3 inch barrel. I knew the owner, and he had 25 or so of these in his case. They were all South American police trade-ins....He told me...

    Rossi M885

I have a Rossi M85 which is their version of a J-frame....It's OK, and a budget version of a S&W. As to it retaining value less, I probably disagree...If you gave $175 or so for a stainless Rossi .38 in nice shape, it can't really go down in value...There's nowhere left to go.. It's just like a...

Well, I guess my answer to that question would be: Did Tyler's return all of the checks they immediately cashed and have been holding for 24 months or did they just keep the money?

    Given a holster!

German Officers, especially ranks like Oberlutenant and Hauptmann and above, would probably not typically carry a large pistol like a P08 or a P38....That would more likely have been carried by an NCO.... Officers would generally have carried a smaller pistol like a Walther PP, PPK or Mauser HsC.

I would agree with you. On this forum and the like, they are like gold doubloons....In the real world and actual numbers, nobody cares about them... I just bought a couple in a Tampa online auction with some other random junk, but I haven't went to pick them up. am not even sure what they fit...

My Truck Driving Days are Done

I kept my Class A for 26 years..Last year, I went to the doc and she said I had a "stigmata", where my eye twitches sometimes. I didn't even realize I had it? I haven't used the license in years and I have no plans to ever use it again, especially in Florida traffic, so I dropped back to regular DL.

    Ruger Curiosity?

I have a like NIB Security six stainless 4 inch...To me, they seem beefier and more heavily made than a K frame...Almost more like an L frame gun. I like them and they seem equally quality manufactured as a S&W...Just like being married to a pretty girl, but she has a sister with slightly...
