    Fire Damage

If it were me… unloaded… dry fire it! Try it with a light hand load behind a protective bulletproof glass booth, … piece of string tied to the trigger. Mythbusters style!

    Guns and guitars… condition/value

Gretsch 6120 and S&W. I grew up on Chet Atkins’ records and Clint Eastwood movies. American classics.

Business CEO's and business practices in general

They listened to their customer base. That’s a good thing. But it does say a lot about how things is packaged and marketed and branded. I went there because I liked the food. I did not care about the brand.. I saw what it was, got it and kind of liked it. Old time, southern feel and all, but...

Business CEO's and business practices in general

I ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel yesterday and was talking to the lady at the cash counter about it. Guns and guitars… condition/value

It’s ironic that people will pay top dollar for a “stressed “model Guitar. Whereas guns are the opposite.. Take the Brent Mason telecaster model… The standard model is about 2500 bucks, but if you want a stressed one which has been worn in to look exactly like Brent’s and the wear on his tele…...

629 No dashes… original stainless finish??

All the 629 I have did not have pristine original finish when I got them, although they are great shape. Do you think it will be worth getting a bead blast to restore them to the original finish? Has anyone here done that before on a stainless? What I have now are 629 that have been polished...

Early Model 57 with rare Vinyl Covered Presentation Case

I have a couple of those velvet lined cases. The 6.5 inch is atyrofoam The other is a 4 inch and I did not look to see what the form was made out of. My 29–2 nickel came with the 6.5 case, but I’m sure it’s not original to the gun, and I’m certain that my model 28–2 refinish is definitely not...

Thinking about doing this to this S prefix HP

No cut, target diamonds and stainless target hammer and trigger? Stainless in a nickel gun?? Since the gun was originally blue and was nicely renickeled I figure I’m not going to hurt it.

    Your least favorite S&W revolver

Anything without a hammer nose unless it is a 22 LR. It's really purely aesthetic and nostalgic. Technology is certainly better and they can make them a lot cheaper, probably longer lasting and more accurate even. I appreciate the technology, just as I do with digital recording technology. But...
