    A) I don't get paid, I do it because they asked ME to teach them. B) I also tell them shoot/don't shoot is a difficult & life changing decision only THEY can make. C) They keep sending me their female friends, so I must be doing something right. D) Not taking a shot may very well get someone...

Thought I scored a new set of stocks for my 681

I prefer the looks of the dark grips myself. It won't show sweat stains as easily.

Can’t stop buy stubbies- SW model 38 flat latch 2 inch- shipped Oct 1959

Given the low price, *I* would opt for a po-fessional refinish job, IMO. Maybe some nice rosewood grips? Or some red tinted VZ grips? My 38 is a no-dash model. I used to carry it in an ankle holster when I did late night maintenance runs when I worked in the projects. Thankfully, I never had to...

    Finally got a nice SW M-19 2 1/2 bbl

I have been told that nickel scratches easily. That has put me off of them. Plus *I* don't care for bling guns. I have also been told that chrome will flake in spots as it ages. No one mentions cleaning solvent on this issue, so I just don't know.

    Mod 19-4, 2 1/2", Round Butt

You guys are showing some beautiful guns! Not sure why anyone would take a 4" or 6" over a 19 snubbie, IMO. They just look SO perfect!

Need help with 10-7 revolver, cannot load shells.

Any reputable gun shop local to you can check it out for you right at the counter. They won't let YOU load it, but they will. A decent gun shop would do it for free in order to gain your business. Pics would help you in this case too.

Perhaps, but y'all might have better food............. :ROFLMAO:

LGS Find: Model 49; Worth the Price?

OP says it might be unfired. Added with the box, I'd say that raises the bar a good bit, price wise, IMO. $895 may indeed be a bit too high, but I'd bet it would sell to someone between $700-800. If in fact it is "unfired". My .o2

New acquisition for my collection- S&W Model 15-3 2 inch

I have a dash 3 15 snubbie. I don't think I've even shot it yet........... The perils of owning a motorcycle AND photography equipment. Shooting takes a break until cooler weather........... :(

New to me 28-2 Snub Nose

Doubtful it's sleeved, IMO. Making SURE the gun is empty & cylinder left open, one can look at the muzzle & see the sleeving on those guns that have them. Dash 2s were made from 1961 to 1969, so sleeved bbls on Smiths were virtually unknown then. I know rifle bbls were sometimes sleeved, but I...

New to me 28-2 Snub Nose

I have popped balloons at 50 yards with a snubbie. Yes, I missed a few shots but once I learned the hold-over, I more often than not hit one. Never tried a 100 yard shot though. Bob Munden used to do some long-range shooting with a snubbie on several episodes of Am Shooter. Probably on...

    3 inch 66-2 rarer than 2/12 inch?

Sales would be my guess. The 4" & 6" revolver market is these days HAS to be tiny as heck, IMO. Awkward to carry concealed, not really geared towards handgun hunting & doesn't compare well to the 586/686 in those bbl lengths, IMO. On this one, I believe Smith hit it right on the mark for sales...
