    My new to me 65-2

Very nice score. Been awhile since I’ve seen one aside from someone’s guns that aren’t for sale. Congrats.

    Lets see the mini handguns

I’m aware of the issue that some have had. It’s already had at minimum 1500 rounds or so over the years without a hiccup. Two of my friends own local gun stores. One is a Smith and he’s checked everything out a couple of times and it’s still gtg. Aside from their crappy night sites, it’s been a...

    Lets see the mini handguns

Smallest pistol I own is a Sig P365. Backup CCW carried weak side in a cargo pocket. Not really a mouse gun. I’ve posted it here before and one has already been posted in this thread. It’s been very reliable and easy to hide. Bought it back when they first hit the market. Primary CCW is strong...

    Sight Alignment

How long have you been shooting pistols/revolvers? I only ask because I’ve had friends who shot a lot of traps with shotguns and struggled with pistol sight alignment for awhile. I don’t even have to think about it at this point in my life. I draw or pull my pistols up and out and the sight...

A hypothetical FFL question for you (NY)

Jim, I wasn’t knocking your state by any means. I don’t know about the rural areas. All I can speak to are friends who I graduated with that live in the City and it’s a mess. We can buy, sell trade here without any FFL involved. We do not have to have a permit to carry. Although I buy mine 5...

A hypothetical FFL question for you (NY)

I have nothing of value to add since I live in a gun friendly state. Just wanted to say it’s a shame at the hoops you guys have to jump through to simply own and possess a gun and/or a CCW.

    625-5 Classic 45 Colt Value???

Congrats OP. Not many that appear that nice in that price range. Excellent choice in my opinion. Enjoy it!

Venting my spleen about S&W rebates

Honestly, my S&W rebates have always been uploaded and usually within 10-12 days, I’ve received my digital Master Card for x amount every single time. Last rebate was around Christmas on an X frame and I spent the entire card on ammo. It was $100 or $150. Highest rebate offer at that time for...

How do you actually enjoy a Magnum caliber revolver?

Looks like plenty of good answers and advice have already been posted. But I’ve always been a buy and try guy. I’m a big boy so I love mag revolvers. That’s why I own them…just because I enjoy shooting things and blowing things apart. They serve no practical purpose for me. Just entertainment...

Experiment with a storm fallen Orange Osage tree vs 460 S&W Mag vs others

Honestly never crossed my mind. Explains why it was gone as fast as I could cut it. :(

Experiment with a storm fallen Orange Osage tree vs 460 S&W Mag vs others

No. They produce these but are not to be eaten. Just make a mess is all.

Experiment with a storm fallen Orange Osage tree vs 460 S&W Mag vs others

It never crossed my mind. I already had neighbors making bids on sections of the tree the day after it fell while weather was still bad. At the time, I just saw a lot of money to be made off some sweat and hard work. So aside from the wood chips and rootball, it’s all gone now. Heck, a neighbor...

Experiment with a storm fallen Orange Osage tree vs 460 S&W Mag vs others

Had a big tree fall a couple of weeks ago after a few rounds of tornados and flooding with straight line winds. I had to resharpen/swap chainsaw blades after about every hour of cutting with an old but well desired and very mean Husqvarna 257. This Wood is hard. This was the last stump my saw...

    Well…I drank the Kool-Aid today…

Owned this little guy as my backup carry piece as soon as they hit the market. Around 500-700 rounds through it with zero issues. Great gun in a tiny package. It’s snappy, but once you shoot it enough it becomes muscle memory and it’s very accurate. Congrats OP.

For those with astigmatism and green dot RMR

There’s no guarantee that I will go blind. I’m just high risk and I have egg shaped eyes which increases my odds of retina detachment to 50/50. This isn’t an ophthalmologist I see. He’s a retina and cornea specialist. Took me 3 years to get my first appt with him. He’s one of the best in the...

I have a family history of blindness and other issues with my eyes. My specialist said he would recommend against it.

For those with astigmatism and green dot RMR

I have had astigmatism in my dominant eye for going on 15+ years. As I age, it gets worse. On my AR platform rifles, I started using illuminated prism optics with the etched glass. Seldom need the illumination but when I do, it’s crisp. Problem solved. But I have many handguns ready to accept an...

Meet Dan. 686 commemorative. Pics added

I would've paid more than $1200 for that unfired DC NIB 686 piece of history. I mean, it would cost me $1000-1060 for a new model 686 deluxe online with tax, the ride and transfer fee. You got a great revolver for a great price IMHO. Congrats!
