Getting old, thinking of selling my collection

You would lose some of the value but we have 2 LGS that buy whole collections. If interested my LGS (no affiliation other than I spend too much money there) does internet offers and can supply shipping labels, etc. I have known the owner for several years and yes, he is in it to make money but...

    Full size range gun

If I could get an optics ready Shadow of any kind for around $700 I’d jump all over it. OP wants to do this on a budget so unless he lucks into a great deal doubt he will find one. The Shadows were originally based on the SP-01 and used can be had for under $700 and slowly upgraded as time...

    Full size range gun

A range gun to me is one I will only shoot at the range. Does not do HD or carry duty. May be a couple of reasons. I am currently building a single action only CZ 75 B. It will get Cajun gun works parts, firing pin block delete and a few other goodies. Target SA trigger pull is around 2 lbs or...

    Full size range gun

Need more info. What do you like? What budget? Polymer or metal hammer fired? I would go to a range with a variety of rental handguns and shoot a bunch. Something will likely stand out. I have several and in 9mm am a fan of CZ as I like how they feel and point in hand. A favorite SA/DA and...

Bodyguard 2.0- the good, the bad, and the ugly

My original 10 round mag would not hold open on empty although no issue with the 12 round or the additional 12 round mags I bought. I emailed S&W and had a new 10 round mag that works perfectly in about 4 days.

What's the most reliable vehicle you've owned?

2002 Lexus RX300. Bought used with 50k miles for less than a similarly equipped/milage used Highlander (what I was originally looking for). Drove it to 150k, only needed tires and did the recommended timing belt/water pump at 100k. Sold to our godson who drove it trouble free to 230k then his...

    Bodyguard 2.0 Hollow Point Problem

FWIW my BG2 has been trouble free with the exception that the 10 round mag would not lock open on empty. An e-mail to SW and I received a new mag in 4 days that works perfectly. I am currently carrying Federal Premium Hydra-Shok Deep for a defensive ammo. No issues feeding after running nearly...

TWO INSTANCES IN 2 WEEKS TO BACK UP MY RED DOT OPINION ON A EDC/CCW GUN

Just a couple of my observations. I have dots on several carry guns, but also have an iron sight carry pistol. All my rds guns have co-witnessed iron sights. I have a 120 day alarm in my phone for each dot to change batteries. I also make witness marks on all my dot screws so at a glance I can...

    S&W .38 Hand Ejector Model of 1905, 2nd change

Geez, I did not intend to start an argument. I am new to old SW revolvers, did a little interweb research and came to my conclusion based on this from the SCSW And narrowed down manufacture date base on this as my SN is 125xxx I did find a notation in the SCSW that mentioned there is a...

    S&W .38 Hand Ejector Model of 1905, 2nd change

Well, K frame, Numrich shows a model 10 diagram with an adjustable rear sight. Model 14 & 19 currently are available and I sent an email to see if SW will sell one.

    S&W .38 Hand Ejector Model of 1905, 2nd change

I have decided not to blue it, just clean it up. Today while cleaning it I was able to see that the front sight blade is a Lyman. Did S&W use those or more likely some time in the past 100 years it was replaced? The rear sight I was offered would cost what I have in the revolver thus far. I...

    S&W .38 Hand Ejector Model of 1905, 2nd change

Picked up my next project revolver. Not sure the seller really knew what it is and description and pics were minimal. Some research on my part has identified it as a S&W .38 Hand Ejector Model of 1905, 2nd change manufactured around 1908-1909. There were just under 27k made total, this one is a...

    Hi from central Indiana

Hi all! I am a firearms enthusiast and have recently been getting into revolvers. The majority of my handgun collection consists of various CZ semi-auto pistols but also own a Ruger revolver and an 1968 Colt Trooper 6 inch. More recently I acquired a 586-8 that is a really sharp looking...
