J Frame Snub Owners: What is your favorite EDC Holster?

For several years I carried an early 80's production Model 60 with a bobbed hammer in a Mika pocket holster. While I still have that gun and holster, these days I carry a 642 in an Alabama Holster pocket holster. I love the thumb push-off tab on those holsters. You can break the revolver free...

Underwood Ammo and Freedom Munitions PSA - Update Post 16

I’ve recently had two situations with Underwood Extreme Defender rounds failing to ignite in my Bodyguard 2.0. While I can’t rule out a possible problem with the pistol, the examined rounds both had pretty significant dimples in the primers. They were both loaded in the gun again and each fired...

    Bodyguard/Underwood Light Primer Strikes

I would encourage you to try the Inceptor ARX rounds. They are also fluted but have a rounded nose more akin to FMJ. They feed great in my BG 2.0 and are very soft shooting too. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them in the local gun stores in my area. I ordered some direct from the company.

    Bodyguard/Underwood Light Primer Strikes

I bought a Bodyguard 2.0 the first week of June, 2025. Date of manufacture was 03-14-25. I’ve made two trips to the range with it. I have fired several rounds of various fmj ammo, Hornady Critical Defense, Underwood 90 gr. XTP hollow points, Underwood 68 gr. Extreme Defender, and Inceptor ARX...

    Crimson Trace For a J Frame ?

I have them, LG-105’s on my 642. I think they serve a purpose on such short-barreled guns. They really don’t add any bulk. As with all things gun YMMV!

Anybody used Inceptor ARXor NovX Engagement Extreme?

That has been my experience too. I just polished my feed ramp but I haven’t had a chance to get back to the range to see if it will make the difference. I would love to carry some kind of fluted bullet in this gun given the inconsistency of hollow points opening up in a .380, thus the reason...

Anybody used Inceptor ARXor NovX Engagement Extreme?

Just curious as to whether anyone has any experience with either of these fluted rounds, specifically in a Bodyguard 2.0? I have carried Underwood Extreme Defender for years in some of my other EDC’s - I’m a fan of the concept - but haven’t had a flawless experience with it feeding in my BG...

Galloway Rear Dovetail Optics Plate - Opinions?

I’ve decided not to do the dovetail mount. I’m sending my slide to Pine Wood Machining to have the slide milled instead. I think I’ll be happier with the sight properly mounted. Thanks for your input guys!

Galloway Rear Dovetail Optics Plate - Opinions?

Looking to pick the brain trust. I bought a Shield Plus about three years ago and regrettably didn’t buy the MOS version. I love the gun and have decided I would like to try a red dot on this pistol. Up to now I have only used irons and lasers on my handguns. Galloway Precision sells an optics...

    Glock has really shocked me!

Viceunit’s experience mirrors mine almost exactly. The highway patrol agency (about 1200 sworn officers) that I retired from has carried Glocks since 1991. While I can’t absolutely claim that there have been no AD’s/ND’s in our agency, I am very confident that they have been practically...

    Anybody love 686's?

I only have one. It was issued to me about a month before my graduation from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy in April, 1983 (Was originally issued a 4” Model 66). I carried it on duty for about 8 years. We transitioned to Glock G-22’s in 1991, at which time I was able to buy this gun...

    Bodyguard 2.0 sight change....

I did the same thing with the 1.0 rear sight. I like it so far but won’t rule out aftermarket replacements later.

Bodyguard 2.0 shooting left and low out of box

I too, replaced the rear sight with one from a Bodyguard 1.0. since I have had a BG 1.0 for several years that is now wearing XS Big Dot Sights. I think it is a big improvement on the sight picture for the 2.0.

    Hello from Southwest Missouri

Hello to all! I am a retired Missouri trooper (31 years & 3 months, but who’s counting! 😜) now enjoying my “golden years” in the Springfield, Missouri area. I love all things firearms, with a particular fondness for/obsession with handguns. Looking forward to time on this forum! Here’s...
