    Thanks for responding. I remeasured and my mistake the barrel is 4". The rear sight blade is missing but I don't see any damage. The response here has been amazing, I have learned so much. My initial reason for asking was to find how to find an original replacement for the rear sight blade. Barry

    Thanks for the feedback, Jack. It is definitely 3 3/4". measured from the front of the cylinder. the last time it was fired was in the early 70's. I shot it some right before I went into the Navy. Barry
