Do the Safariland Comp3 speedloaders work the same as the Jetloaders? They look virtually the same but I've haven't used a Comp3 before. I've got 4 Jetloaders now, but need more and the Comp3's are a lot cheaper (Midway has 'em on sale at the moment). If they don't function the same though, I'll stick with what I'm used to. No sense in confusing myself any more than normal...

Comp 3's are a straight push release; very fast.
Little bulky for concealed carry, but the hot ticket for the range.

If the Comp III is a lot cheaper buy it, it works.
...but it should be a lot cheaper since it doesn't last nearly as long as the Jet-Loader.

The Comp III is similar to the Jet-Loader in function, but it's made of a softer plastic and when the "click" starts to disappear, then it's long before it starts to become difficult to lock.
The outer diameter is also a little bit bigger than the Jet-Loader.

I'm talking about heavy competition use. If that's not on your game, save some money and buy the Comp III.

The Jetloaders are also a lot more compact. I carry two when I carry my 2" 15 or 12, which is most of the time. I wouldn't think of doing that with a Comp III.

Thanks for all the info. It's a big help. I shoot in an indoor PPC league once a week, so the Comp-3's should last me a while. I ordered 4 while they're on sale, but I think I'll just use one of them with the 4 JetLoaders I've got until I'm sure I'll be satisfied. If they don't measure up, I'll send the other 3 back.

If you want to really speed them up you need to shorten the bottom part that holds the bullets in. I just take them apart and use my sander until about 1/8 inch of plastic is left. Then when they release it is a lot faster and more reliable.

I do the same with the Jetloaders. When they release properly you can watch then shoot over my head during my reload. First time I did that at the IRC it scared the hell at the the shooters on my squad but everyone wanted to know how I did it. I'll try to take some pics of the finished products for you.
