And the number of attendees will probably stay at about that level in NM, due to travel hassles......

Well, they posted to wrong results! At least for Match 33.
The 2-man Open Semi-auto team , Match 33, the computer completely dumped our team. I caught it during the protest period and challenged the results, they finalized the wrong version. We bested the listed 2nd place team by 7 or 8 points plus x's and have the award to prove it. I also had to challenge the original results for Match 37 for the same reason, but at least that one is correct in the book.

Amazing! It takes them a month to post the results and they are incorrect. It's a wonder this many competitors put up with this incompetence. I am still trying to get their screw-up from last year resolved. Good luck getting this fixed Mike. They really have no pride in their final product.

I will probably speak with our local BOD about this . Marc Lipp is getting tired of hearing from me, but he's earned every word!
I'll call you this week to work out the dates for the Paradise.

Off the subject here but you guys know a range that goes up to 50 yards in southern california. Its really hard to find a place to practice PPC.

Well, the NRA re-posted the NPSC team match results...not sure when but I noticed this yesterday. A quick review of Match 33 showed they corrected the results and everything was good. Something made me check the rest of the new and improved results, and a good thing I did.
While the stats office fixed the errors on Match 33 it seems they created errors in Match 31. Maybe, just maybe, I am getting a little paranoid but it sure seems like there is an issue between me and the competitions staff because now, the corrected results for Match 31 have dropped my team's score completely.
Same issue we had with Match 33 results and the same issue we had during both of these matches. I had to challenge the results during the match because we were dropped from the priliminary results, in one case our score card was "lost" or "missing" and the statistician proclaimed that was why we weren't on the results. I bowed up, spouted off our individual scores and stood firm. After a few minutes of digging through all of the score cards and showing me there was no card and therefore no score, miraculously our score card was found, misplaced behind the statistics office curtain, supposedly mis-filed under a stack of papers. I don't usually believe in coincidences nor am I paranoid but it sure seems like my team is being singled out because I have been holding the competitions staff to task.
We'll see if it takes another month for them to correct the scores yet again.

Hey Mike,
I don't think you are wrong to feel like the NRA LE Staff is messing with you. My opinion is that they are doing so because they lack the ability to run an event like the NPSC and are taking it out on you to hide their incompetence.

Complain ,complain , Al and Mike, dont mean to rub it in, BUT stayed home due to back issues, and no practice.
Had time to relax with the better half, go to the fair for the first time in years, went to the SD ZOO and then had some great seafood at the ocean. Actually got a couple things done , OH yeah spent some time with the other half.
Now no heartburn, anger, head shaking, ONLY problem is the guys still want me to shoot next year.
JUST kidding, God Bless, Bob

Ok Bob, mia culpa, but if you can't complain how will anyone know how passionate you are about something. Sounds like you had a great time in September. You ought to think about going to Raton in July. Very relaxing and great people at the matches there. We stayed in one of the cabins this year and it was nice.

I don't want to re-hash old news or be a bash fest, but by golly, my turn to vent. ;-)
I drove 26 hours one year and flew for 6 hours with 3 stops the next, all to attend the NPSC in Albuquerque. Previous to that, I spent equal time in the air and travel for 2 visits to Jackson, including one parking lot shoot out with one bad guy DRT to boot. All four times I have been to the Nationals it has been a ‘cluster’ with the stats. With the amount of personnel and resources open to the NRA and host committees, that performance was pathetic to say the least. And for a guy trying to “leg out” in both Distinguished events, the numbers were important, and were incorrect. I lost interest after about 10 phone calls and the quite apparent lack of professionalism.
It appears the NRA likes to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory on a regular basis, unfortunately.
Yup, I will return to the NPSC some day, as I love the sport and everything that goes with PPC. I continue to shoot local, and some distant matches, but I wish the NRA would learn something from smaller agencies who host matches all year long. This isn’t the first time they have held this event.
Discouraging to say the least.

Well he we go again. After watching people shoot PPC 9s, for 2 years ,in the stock event, (and rightfully so) several of my team members, me included ,spent over 150, to get them fitted with the approved sight
Now a couple months after NPSC some #### ****s , at the NRA LEAD says they have decided the gun is not approved for use. As competitors what do they expect us to do? You see something is being allowed, you spend the money and then out of nowhere the come up with this junk. All of these problems are of their own doing.
The rules were all fine and understandable, for the stock auto, and then to appease the sponsors they began to allow rule changes. The PC 5906's were allowed , but at least they were D/A and really only made to compete with guys shooting accurized Commander type 1911s.
It really started with the glock 34/35 and 5.5 barrels , why, glock had guns that were alot closer to the 4" rule ,they could have said no, but they allowed it. From there it went to custom 6" bull barrel 1911s for Distinguished matches and even changing the ammo requirements to allow FN's 5.7 whatever (who now advertise "approved for NRA competition") ever seen one in a duty holster ? I havent .
So how is that any different than a PPC 9. And FN has other guns that meet the rules, so why break them to allow that gun.(having shot them, we know that answer) And it still violates the " no high velocity ammo allowed" but they dont care.
You know guys its like arguing with a drunk, they have no valid reason for anything they do, and dont care what you think or do. I am convinced that they would be much happier if we went away and they could get on to their 3 gun/tactical zombie killing ,shoot a bunch of bullets and not hit anything .(except people on the other range)Championships.
We are however writing several letters of protest to the recent rule change, since there was no warning and it was allowed the last 2 years , so how do they change it now. Another waste of time Im sure. OH well they say "anxiety is the fuel of life " maybe they are keeping us alive longer. Bob, more to follow
