@MPshooter wonder if I recognise your avatar's subject from another NWFA forum...

I shoot with double pouch holder. Both mags are loaded the same and my motion is down to the first mag and pull it, then if needed to the same place, just a hair further back.

I store partial mags in the pocket - not a mag holder.

For certain shooting sports, there are other advantages - you may have mags loaded to certain capacity to facilitate your reload location at slide lock.

The thing to double check is to ensure you can get to the pouch while seated or prone.
