Default Magwell for S&W 645?

I have a few pistols. One of which I've had forever and one I recently bought and have set up for IPSC. I use my Glock 17 for IPSC but I'd really like to set my S&W 645 up for IPSC as well.

I've had my S&W 645 since 1992, it was my first non-duty (Personally owned) pistol, and it's damned fun to shoot! I know it's not the best choice for a IPSC Standard Gun division due to the heavy first trigger pull and the eight round magazines (Which are extremely difficult to come by and expensive north of the border here), but I figured if I could get a magwell that'll fit I'd at least have a chance (especially against a buddy who shoots a stock Sig P220).

Does anyone know where I could find a magwell which would fit a S&W 645?

Dawson Precision doesn't have anything that'll fit. 1911 magwells won't work as they have the back-strap and as you all know one big difference between a 645 and a 1911 is the safety in the back-strap on the 1911.

Try Wilson Combat's 1911 mag well that hangs on the grip screws. Maybe you can manipulate it to work for you.

Default Thanks

I just checked it out and ordered a stainless steel one from Midway. Plus a pair of 1911 Hogue wrap around rubber grips. I'll probably have to modify the grips a little at the top where the de-cocker lever comes down but I think it'll work out great.

I'll post the results when I receive the magwell and grips.

Thanks
