Default New model 41 needs front sight

I found a new Model 41 Performance Center on line which I recently bought. When it arrived at my local FFL it indeed appeared to be new but the front sight was missing. I called Smith & Wesson and they said they will send me a new front sight and the pin that holds it in. However, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what is involved to assemble this.

Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure about a PC M-41 but the new front sights I have seen for any revolver or pistol require you or your Gunsmith to drill the hole in the sight after you place it in its position on the barrel. Can assume the reason is that if it were pre-drilled the holes may not match to provide a proper fit. Sorry I'm unable to provide the proper bit size required (you should use a micrometer or caliper to check the size of the provided pin) but the bit does need to be sharp and the sight securely held in place while the drilling is being done. I'm not sure how much help this is but hopefully others will chime in and correct me if my information is erroneous. Good luck!!
