Default Anbody recognize this vintage front sight?

I recently acquired a .38 customized for target shooting revolver (not S&W, I'm afraid. A four-letter name brand.) It has a King Cockeyed Hammer, Flaig Ace Trigger Shoe, and is set up for single-action only with a superb trigger pull. The after-market front sight is complicated and spring-loaded, but has no visible name on it. This is undoubtedly a pre-WWII gun. Can anyone identify this sight?

I never saw the like.
It appears to be meant as an improvement over the adjustable front sight of the Other Brand of that period.

Interesting. Kinda the same idea as the 4-step silhouette sight on the Classic Hunter - but with only 1 step. Somebody was being very innovative.

I thought it was going to be something simple, like a WhiteX------which wasn't so simple the first time around.
