Default Multibrush cleaning tool for a 7 shot cylinder?

Attempting to locate a seven brush cleaning tool to for a 7 shot L frame (986).

Something to run through during a match to scrub all 7 cylinders in one motion - ie when you don't have time to run a single brush through the each individual cylinder.

Some time ago there was the Allison Speed brush, but can't locate anything like it.

Any sources?

I think they quit making those in the 1990s. I haven't seen any for sale in many years. I have (had?) a 6 K frame and a 6 N frame, but there were no 7 or 8 shot guns then.

I use a 40/10mm cal. stainless brush on a straight cleaning rod with a cordless drill. You could do all 7 chambers with that in less than a minute, and it would do a lot better job than an Allison brush.

I'd have to get a holster for the cordless drill at the Bianchi Cup between stages

Guess it's time to make one! Thanks Warren

After digging up some old posts I learned that it was possible to bend the yoke while forcing the (6) brushes in and out...would be worse with a 7 or 8 shot cylinder.

Cordless drill at a low speed or I use an old Black & Decker cordless screw driver. Very fast and the twisting action is very thorough. I had a multi 6 hole brush didn't like it, clumsy.

Again, I'm on the firing line during a match.

You could use a regular cleaning rod and brush, it wouldn't take long to run it through 6 chambers a couple of swipes each.

Yes...may be my only option, haven't even shot a full 48 round course to determine how along before loading is restricted.

I've never shot a competitive course with my 929 but I frequently make it through 160 to 200 rounds in a range visit without issue. Most 9mm ammo isn't that dirty.

Those would normally go a full match without chamber cleaning, but we don't know all the variables for this gun and ammo combination. You should at least be fine for a 48 round stage without cleaning. Then you will have plenty of time to clean between stages if needed.

I've also used unconventional bullets in mine. I have a 160 WFN that shoots like a laser.
