Got me yet another S&W SWAT knife
Took a chance on buying the S&W Black Ops Assisted Opening knife. Some of these Taylor Cutlery ones are not that great but this one is nice. Good size to it but light. Heavy blade on it and was worth $26.00.

I like the one I've got, but it's kind of fat to carry...I like them a little slimmer.

I don't mind it. Now the HRT Out The Front auto is FAT for pocket carry. Nice and light and dang quick to open but big.

I have had several of the swat first edition knivs and a milleniam one also ...been happy with them work them hard and they have held up well...had one replaced besauce the treads stripped out of the handle ...replaced with a new one...Free
I have since retired them ...after my Brother pased I got his, we bought them together. and now they both have more value to me than any knife .

Bought my S&W S.W.A.T. carbon fiber knife in '98 or '99, I gave it to my Godson in Canada[now a Canadian Naval Officer] Came back home and bought another to replace it. They were going for around $70. at the time. I still have mine, don't know about the boy. It's nice and slim and I've used it steadily since purchase, the logo has long since rubbed smooth. Good knife.

I am new to this section of the forum and am really curious about the quality of some of the S&W "SWAT" knives. I own quite a few knives, mainly Benchmade, Randall, and some other high end knives. I have worked numerous gun shows and have always seen the S&W knives for sale and to me they always appeared like cheap chinese junk that S&W had their name stamped on. This may be the farthest from the truth but thats why I am asking, maybe the low price just through me for a loop. I don't buy knives to collect, I use them quite frequently.....let me re-phrase that, I ABUSE them...ha ha. I do a lot of hunting, camping, and utility work with them.....the reason I am down to only about 5 good knives is because the rest of them didn't last.
