Default Collectibility of S&W CS Grenades?

Hi New to Forum, was curious if there is any value to keeping the triple bang CS grenades made by the S&W Chemical Division? I know S&W dumped this divison years ago. Have a couple in the cardboard tranist tubes. Will either takes em to the show or toss em with my son and play at the pit! Hate to set em off if they are collectible. Can't find any info on-line.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

I have no idea if they're even legal to own and I doubt they're terribly collectable. A friend had a rubber body S&W CS grenade years ago and even being near it caused your eyes to water. I suspect the rubber had deteriorated over time.

I know they are legal, definately not a desrtuctive device. Powder charge in the propellant or ignitor is below regulated levels. Other brands sold on-line and Gunbroker routinely.

I may take them to the SOS in two weeks and see a dealer that specializes in such items. Just hate to waste them playing if they are worth trading off on something.

Thanks!
