Default 1936 Catalog

Just curious about the value of a 1936 catalog complete with the price list. Sorry about the yellow tint to the pictures. I need to take some outdoor pictures to get a true color. It seems to be in great shape for it's age.

Thanks, Thomas

I don't know if there is a premium for specific years, but I would guess the general price for a catalog in that condition ought to be about $50-75. A couple of years ago I bought four old S&W catalogs (one with a price list) from a specialty retailer for a little over $200. They were in that condition.

Thomas
David is correct in the price of this catalog. $50.00 is about top of the line for that one.

Be very careful if you fall into the catalog collecting pit!!! If you get real serious, then you will find out that there are sometimes multiple versions of the same catalog and you will feel the need to acquire each variation.

I have the 80th Anniv. catalog with the straight line on page 33 with a 1934 price list

I have the 80th catalog straight line version with the June 1935 price list

I have the 80th catalog with the .357 magnum on page 33

AND I have the 80th catalog with the .357 on page 33 with the 1936 price list and a typed note about pearl stocks not being available for the K-22 model.

So be very careful before stepping into this minefield.
