Default Catalog storage and display

G’day
How do you catalog collectors out there store your catalogs?

I have all my catalogs in plastic sheet protectors (pockets) and then so many years per book. This mostly works very well. Conveniently from 1960 the circulars are 8 1/2” so not a problem they fit the pockets as do all the catalogs. The earlier smaller catalogs I also have in the same A4 pockets which works reasonably well although very loose in the pocket.
With the 1940s & 50s model circulars they are mostly 8 ¾” or 9” wide which don’t fit into the pockets. Even if they did the folders are too small.
How are you storing/keeping yours?

I like the convenience of grabbing a book containing the year I want and the fact that I can show them off reasonably easily and safely seeing the front and back without getting them out and touching them.
Just wondering if there is a better way?
Maybe there is someone out there that actually thinks that a plastic bag in not a good method to store a 100 year old catalog?

Cheers.

That's how I store mine. Everything loose like single sheets, I store in plastic containers with a lockable lid similiar to Tupperware. If you can obtain archival quality catalog envelopes, that is better. They come in different sizes, so, the bigger you get makes storage easy.

Thanks for the replies. Glad to know this is a good storage method.
I like the book storage format and have a plan for my 1940s & 50s circulars.
I’m going to get an A3 folder and cut it to 10” wide and use A3 plastic pockets trimmed and heat sealed to 9 1/4” wide.
Cheers

After a few experiments I have decided to store my 1940s and 1950s all model circulars in an A3 book in A3 pockets. See the attached picture.
Cheers.
