Default 1995 Smith & Wesson Express HO Train

I don't recall how many of these were made but it was a pretty low number. I do believe I have a certificate stating the number but that is in the box with the rest of the track and power supply behind about 7 feet of other stuff in the closet. Made by Life Like in China

Default HO S&W Train

Well, I saw the original post and also thought the train was neat and way cool so I bounced over to e-bay and was actually surprised to find one listed and it was new in the boxes. It's Christmas and I had to have it; the wife wanted me to have it so I bid and won it. Might have paid too much but I don't care. Merry Christmas to me. Can't wait till it gets here. Thanks for sharing the original post or I probably would not even have known about it. Thanks ko41. Merry Christmas to all.

Wow, I wonder what the odds were for finding one. Congrats on getting the train.
At the time I bought mine I do not believe there was a S&W part no. for it, and I bought it directly from Clarence E. Rinke when I ordered his book "The Knives of Smith & Wesson.

I picked up one of these quite a few years back on ebay and it's resided in my closet ever since, never even been out of the box. I too, thought at the time it was pretty cool and had to have it!

It's here! Arrived today in the original box, each car in the original box and with track and transformer. Looks like its never been touched. I'm very pleased to have it.

Would anyone care to post what the original selling price was from S&W? I'm very curious. Thank you in advance and Merry Christmas to everyone.

Found my sales receipt for the train. I purchased the train set from River City Replicas February 29, 1996 for the amount of $129.95. It is set number 210.

The 1990s were a period when the S&W Licensing unit signed agreements with about anybody who came in the door with an item and wanted to put the S&W name on it. You could go around the SHOT show booths and find almost unlimited merchandise with "S&W" on it. I remember convincing an exhibitor of throw away S&W cameras to give me couple samples and I gave one to Roy Jinks for his collection. Roy said he had never even seen nor heard of them before. I gave the other one to my local Sheriff's Dep't, as they thought it was a great idea as their cameras then were Polariods, which were always out of film when you need it, so maybe the exhibitor got an order.
