I have a S&W branded knife ,probably made by Taylor with very nice sheep horn scales. Sadly one of the pins holding the scale to the liner was not attached well to the liner and allowed the horn to warp and bend out. I was just wondering if they stood behind these knives or is it just too bad.

I don't know the answer. There are craftsmen who can possibly fix your knife, although it might be necessary to replace the warped scale. If you find the knife is not under warrenty, and I doubt it is, you might post your situation of one of the knife specific forums. I bet you will get an answer there.

The 2016 S&W Knife catalog ( Taylor Brands ) says : ...product is warranted to the original consumer as long as he or she owns the product. Warranty covers defect in materials, manufacture or assembly. If the product ever breaks or fails, due to defect, we will repair or replace the product. I would assume, now that S&W has bought Taylor Brands as a wholly owned subsidiary, the warranty continues. Hope that helps. Ed.
